Exactly. Majority of us said this was a bottom 5 team now half those same people cry about it and cry for Green or JB's head. It's a rebuild, 1/2 the lineup is AHL. Figure it out!
- neem55

I'm not crying for JBs head because we suck. I'm fine with being terrible. What I'm not fine with is there still doesnt seem to be a plan. We dont need crappy vets every year to eat up space and honestly drag the team down. We could easily of had gagner here for "veteran leadership" with his stupid contract and not signed beagle etc. Pick 2 or 3 vets keep em here pick a rebuild plan and build a God damn hockey team. Dont essentially change path every 4 months. He should be fired now

Our AHL team is horrendous as well what exactly has JB done? Why isnt the AHL team close to Van or in Van for that matter so canuck management can watch the team and help the coaches do things the way they want. This organization is brutal at the moment. Reminds me of the pre shannan leafs

Put me on the Fire Benning bus. Not because I expected the team to be bottom 5 and they are (almost), but because he thinks they are a Jay Beagle away from competing for a playoff spot and well, they aren’t.

Good on him for moving Gagner and Goody, recognizing two mistakes, but there’s plenty more where that came from.

Green I give an actual NHL roster to before I criticize him for being a failure.

Team isnt ready to play - that is on the coaches. Team lacks talent and delth - thats on the GM. At least the owners are willing to spend - could have that Ottawa loser.

Last night for sure. After the 3-0 drubbing last week in Vegas where Marky had to save the club from a 10-0 sh!tshow.

They looked so flat in period 1 last night. Then Green must have yelled at them or something and they played pretty good in the 2nd and 3rd.

Take away the first period and we win 2-1!

I think Benning will be here for next season...that's the kicker for him when the roster will 'potentially' be better lol.

Not only does it exist in here, the media, coaching all the way through ownership and mngt when this team is winning or when we were in the WC spot this year, it's a no way can we trade Edler-Tanev-Sutter mentality. They just aren't looking 2-3 years ahead or even ahed to next year for that matter. Canucks win 4-5 games in a row and the media is like 'no way they can move Edler-Tanev as they are veteran anchors back there' lol

Agree on Green. As the way it was with WD, Green just isn't being given the talent to provide results with. We can only hope Hughes has an impact next year (with OJ?) and they can get a 60-70 pt UFA (Panarin>) somewhere. Fixing this D won't happen in one off season, but it sure could be improved with a mentality shift by Benning.

Vegas, a contending club, really showed the fans where our D is at last night. Edler and Tanev need to go. Sutter as well. LE also.

On the bright side though Beags and Motte were crashing and banging last night!!

Oh I fully expect Benning to “play out his contract” i’m Worried the ownership will pressure him to make a move to “put them over the top” and he will just do it. If Acquman wanted to make a splash for 50 years he should of authorized the rebuild back in 2012 when Gillis wanted to tear it down (not that I believe Gillis was the guy to do it, but that’s when they needed to start).

Absolutely. I was in Van in 2012 when they were blown out by LA and all the signs were there. That was when I first heard the "Kesler wants out' stuff too. Should have traded that jackass then fresh off his Selke win we would have made out gangbusters oh well.

The 50th anniversary of the team is fast approaching. I guess it's a wait and see to see of Benning makes a UFA splash to 'push' this club back to PO's for the teams 50th season. Something has to give either way.

I get to see a lot of WPG games. Kevin Hayes is someone I'd like to see JB go after. He is the type of player Van doesn't have. Big, strong on the puck. Good puck possession player. A better version of Josh Leivo.

VGK went to the finals last season and have added Stone, Stastny, Pacioretty this season. That's some solid GMing by McPhee

lol I did say 5-2 Vegas just didn't think Vegas would score all 5 in the first on Marky.

Only one goal off...

there is that, and there is the fact that the score is reflective of just how bad the team is when Marky plays mediocre hockey, and not "top 10 goalie-like". I fully expected the score last night and quite frankly, was surprised VGK didn't score more.

Told by a Canuck source, they expect to hear positive news from Quinn Hughes later today...Canucks' next game is Wednesday vs NYR.

I was hoping for a bit of entertainment last night, that wasn't the case. Hey if we get a peek at Hughes, that works as well. I'm hoping at the very least we don't drop this year at the lottery, that would be a win. #Top5

The jack ass Scott Oake said last night that Hughes could be in the lineup vs NYR this coming Wednesday.

The team came out flat (again). Has occurred far too often this season. Needs to be addressed.

Paterson did tweet which I thought was correct. That was the first time TG has pulled his goalie this season. Van did respond after that. Game was still out of hand by then and VGK probably packed it in a bit. I'll call that a sign of growth for TG.
