I like Montour, but i assume Buffalo does as well. Didnt they give up a first and good prospect for him. - belcherbd

Unless he throws a latte through him, then that thrown-through latte that Don threw would make it more like murder. |

Someone mentioned Miller from vegas the other day, he would be a nice addition and has recently been a healthy scratch there. |

Definitely an upgrade, still young , doable contract
I don't think you would need to give up much. |

Read that Shattenkirk might be a buyout candidate for NYR. They may make it worth while for Van to take the last 2 years off their hands. Could be useful to the PP. A vet presence until Hughes is ready for full time. |

I think you have it backwards. The Rangers like acquiring picks and the Canucks prefer trading away picks. Eriksson + 2nd for Shattenkirk will be the deal. |

This year one of the top 4 teams will have a 4th line guy play a "huge roll", and he will get paid because of it. Same will happen next year, and the year after that. I have nothing against Beagle, he's a decent player. He's not what the team needed this year, and probably not next year either. The puck is still going in the net, and his good work ethic and locker room leadership isn't convincing anyone to be prepared for the drop of the puck. - 1970vintage
Hey now, beagle is great for the tank, veteran leadership is the best! |

Absolutely.
Beagle's effectiveness comes from Winger support like he had on a cup champ team last year.
Now, can we provide him that support for next season or is it another year of Motte and LE on the 4th line? Not helping the Beags at all. - LordHumungous
A 3m NTC champion leader like beagle should be making his wingers better, not relying on them to make him better.... |

Not exactly what I was thinking.
My thought would be more of Biega and wsh 6th for Shattenkirk, NYR 2nd and Van's 7th in 2020. |
