If I were a smallish player like him I’d wait until he became a ufa so he can sign wherever he wants. - LeftCoaster
With our fan base? The guy would have to delete all his social media. |

Hughes will probably get injured in his few games and miss all his summer conditioning. If he doesnt, I don't think his heart is really with the Canucks. Lone Wolf. - boonerbuck

Those 60 games he’s still better than anyone else in the lineup. |

It doesn't change the fact that he is a second line player. When we are getting our asses kicked again next year we can remind ourselves and say we didn't upgrade but EDLER is our best Dman |

I hope he just takes a two-year full NMC 6 mill deal. With a handshake for a third year.

Bracket has been with the organization since the 08-09 season and has very few results for it
He has brought several American kids into the system, since his start with this organization, yet 0 have had any impact on this team.
Brackett has only started to look decent, once he was under the guidance and direction of Benning.
I believe many here, overvalue Brackett. - Reubenkincade
I agree with everything you say in this post. |

Fair enough. As long as he doesn't need to be protected for the expansion draft if, god forbid, he is extended beyond 2 years.
I'm not in favour of re-signing him at all. Change on defense has to start somewhere. |

Boeser was a no brainer now?! I’m all for giving benning much more credit, bit that is bananas - neem55
First round is usually the GM or owners call, after that he relies on the scouts more. |

So who does Hughes play with? The options are pretty terrifying. - hertzman

Seems like it’s his fault for everything wrong and everything right someone else did it. Who’s the head scout of every other team? The GM is responsible to set that staff up and ise the info they gather for him to make his decsions. Just like any other player aquisition move. |

I'm actually alright with keeping him around, though if they do I think they should move Tanev. He still has value, so trading him at the draft would make sense.
Edler has played well enough with Stetcher, and if you can bring in a good UFA to play with Hughes, that'd leave Hutton to play with Sautner. Not great, but a change. |
