Will Hughes see time on PP1, or will Green and Brown keep rolling out the same Edler led powerhouse unit/system for the rest of the year? |

It helps that hes got Gudbranson on his team so he can feel 10 ft tall. |

It’s been repeated time and time again by people who have or used to work in the NHL that GM’s heavily rely on scouts once they get past the top 30-50 of their draft board.
I give Benning full credit for both promoting Brackett, and for the EP/Boeser picks. - Nucker101
Rumor has it Delorme was the guy who liked Petey in his draft -1 season leading Benning to get on board... |

I'm actually alright with keeping him around, though if they do I think they should move Tanev. He still has value, so trading him at the draft would make sense.
Edler has played well enough with Stetcher, and if you can bring in a good UFA to play with Hughes, that'd leave Hutton to play with Sautner. Not great, but a change. - NewYorkNuck
Resign Edler, trade Hutton.
Sign a RHD UFA,
Karlsson
Myers
Or?
Edler UFA
Hughes Tanev
OJ Stecher
Chatfield Biega

The only reason McCann didn’t work out here is because we didn’t have Beagle to sort him out back then. |

Bracket has been with the organization since the 08-09 season and has very few results for it
He has brought several American kids into the system, since his start with this organization, yet 0 have had any impact on this team.
Brackett has only started to look decent, once he was under the guidance and direction of Benning.
I believe many here, overvalue Brackett. - Reubenkincade

@ ruby....what position did he hold in 08/09 to "bring in" players?
Edit: for the record, Brackett was an amateur scout, one of several, for seven years before he became his current "Chief of Amateur Scouting" in 2015. He wasn't in any position to say take this guy or I quit. |

assistant to the regional manager
seriously though, I doubt he had a major influence when he first joined this organization. And our NHL/AHL/CHL scouting is such a joke, that even if our NCAA scouts are indeed average, it makes them look brilliant. |

I'm gonna play the experience card here, sorry; "assistant to the regional manager" could mean he's responsible for the southern area of Alberta for th AJHL.
What ruby said sounded great, but it was stupid, like Bennng |

So who does Hughes play with? The options are pretty terrifying. - hertzman
Green will play him 8 minutes and staple him to the bench in the 3rd. |

He raised a fair point about Brackett likely getting too much credit but that doesn’t mean Brackett isn’t one of the above average talent evaluators in this organization |
