Man. Tallon had some ugly drafts. Not alone there in Hawk history but there are quite a few who the hell are these guys in there. - Elbows15

No doubt, but I’d bet that a true Olympic Team USA would give Team Canada a heck of a game. It’s a shame the NHL left the Olympics just as USA hockey is reaching its highest level ever.
Saad & Kane & Byfuglien 🇺🇸

The U.S. has stellar hockey players.
They've humbled Canada many a time, as have others.
Just not sold on the Hawks record of drafting youngsters from that program.
Kane was an obvious pick.
Teams came to Tallon and tried to snare the #1 pick away from Dale, but
credit to him, he stuck to his guns and took as i believe he said many times
"the best player available" in the draft.
Kaner is Kaner.

It looked like every shift during the 3rd period everyone in a red jersey was trying to set Perlini up for his 3rd. Couple of near misses and then the beauty with 3 seconds left. Think this speaks to the fact that he is well liked by the team, otherwise I don’t think they would have tried too hard to do this. And credit JC for keeping out at the end to give him every chance possible. All around solid game. Who are these guys? |

The forwards finally start supporting the puck. Coming back with a purpose and suddenly the D-men have time to make plays back there.
Imagine that |

Course, if he doesn't pick those guys, who knows if we end up with the Wonder Twins.
My point has always been it was the effort of many to build the core of those championship teams.
People seem to forget Bowman has been a part of the organization since 2001. |

He snagged the obvious top guns
What Tallon legacy could have been if he drafted well and not so many first round busts. |

Team defense.
This was not a dream
Hope it won't be dream again when team defense is not present. |

That was fun and yeah it's still a long shot for them to make the playoffs but playing this well is a good thing and if they do happen to make the playoffs - that's a good thing too, especially to give some playoff experience to guys who have never been in the playoffs. And there's a bunch of those guys on the Hawks who would benefit from playoff experience, who can take that into next season. Even if they get bounced in 4 straight games it will give them a taste of what it takes and should give them a measure of resolve to be better prepared next season.
And yes, it would be a good thing to get a high draft pick but maybe, just maybe, we have found that guy who would be the missing top-6 winger and he wears #11. I know it's been only 5 games since the aliens snatched the real Perlini and left this guy behind but as long as the aliens don't come back for a giveback - maybe #11 has found his game. And, if Perlini can play this way consistently, he is obviously NHL ready unlike the guy we would draft at #8 or whatever. |

Looks like they might not have Morgan Reilly after he shouted a homophobic slur at the ref tonight. Dubas issued a public apology on behalf of team. |

Yep. Was it just me or did I hear a bit of a French Canadian Accent from Perlini in his postgame interview??? |

He's English, but spent about half his childhood in Canada. Maybe that's the accent mashup you're hearing.
