An idea for a rule change would be to award assists on a breakout pass like that if the guy scores on the penalty shot. If Toews didn't get hacked and scored the goal Sikura would have got the assist. - EbonyRaptor
Did you see the play in Minnesota where a penalty shot was called on a play that was offside, the player scored on the penalty shot and it was counted a goal because the offside play was not reviewable because the play did not result in a goal, so the goal on the penalty shot counted. I thought Boudreau's head was going to blow.

LOL - Porky Pig probably had steam shooting out of his ears with an air horn sound.

I'm not sure it was offside: he seemed to be in control of the puck when the puck came into the zone. |

Trust me. I want him to do well. The goals were nice. I like the way he has played the last 4 games. Previously, he was just gliding all over the ice. He started moving his feet 4-5 games ago and good things started happening for him. - Elbows15
I’m with you on hoping he does well.
I just commented about the goal because last night you said I was always behind in my posts. |

It looks like Boudreau’s head is going to explode during the national anthem.

If I remember right, Kurashev looked pretty good already at the last training camp. - 67hawks
That is what I am remembering, too. Kurashev had a fairly strong training camp and was one of the prospect stand outs. Despite that, he was cut somewhere in the middle, i.e. not amongst the first cuts but also didn't make it to the final round of cuts. I expect him to be a stand out again in camp but wouldn't be upset if he spends time in Rockford first then earn a call up at some point. |

Sikura goes to the traffic areas , too. It seems when you say you like guy it means you think he is going to be a star. He was a 6th round pick. If he can become useful, its a win. Its also his first year of pro hockey. Last year at this time he was playing NCAA hockey. He needs to get stronger for sure. That pass he made to spring Toews vg. - Elbows15
All very good points. |

I might've missed it as I have been out in the field today and not online much...did Perlini get a 8 year x $8 mil extension (Full No Trade Clause) from Stanley yet?? |

That pass was so good. Through traffic. Right in stride and on the tape. It had some mustard on it too.
Even on Saad's goal he made a really smart play. He read where Toews was going, he cut to the middle of the ice and left that lane wide open for Toews. - Elbows15
Coaches and teammates notice and appreciate those type of plays that don't show up on the scoresheet. Make plays like that throughout a game and you start adding more value to your pro reputation which is helpful when you're not racking up points. |

Yes.
Also, Kane walked out on the team over being misused by the coach. |

He looks noticeably faster this season so I'll bet he worked on it over the off season. Now, if he can take Strome under his wing this off season maybe #17 can make a similar improvement. - EbonyRaptor
He really has to work on that first pass out of the dzone or central ice, turns it over way to much for me, but other than that kids really impressed me. |

During the interview after the game, I heard JC ripped open his dress shirt to show-off his "I hate Jokiharju" shirt. |

Sorry for the off-topic football conversation, but there are rumors of moving on from Jordan Howard. Count me in the "that's (frank)ing bullpoop camp." I know it is a rumor, but I stand by it. Amos going to the Packs ... I hate that too!
Back to hockey now. |

Posted a blog ago that when the Hawks figure this out
Perlini is a possible fixture in the bottom 6-
His play continues to point in that direction- both he & Strome are Hawks moving forward
Feel free to fill in the blanks |

bears signed cordelle patterson. howard is for sure gone after davis signed yesterday.
like howard but he doesn't appear to fit nagy's offense. patterson could be a game changer. they need a KR and patterson should be a weapon out of the backfield. |

Cohen is great too, I just don't want to see Howard go. Agree on CP being a game changer though. |
