Me neither. I don't like musicals to start with and especially one about a 1950's greaser gang love story. West Side Story is just a take off on Romeo and Juliet anyway - which also sucked.
- EbonyRaptor

I also hate musicals. But if you have a sense of humor, Book of Mormon is (frank)ing hysterical.

"The hills are alive" ... which I hope for your sake ain't the only things alive for you on Spring break.

Hahahahaha!!!

To your Romeo and Juliet comment, tisk tisk. That's my field of expertise. Even though Shakespeare is the greatest rip-off writer to ever live.

I give chances though. I'm on Spring break next week so I'll see Sound of Music for the first time.
Send me your recommendations, if you like.

Ok - the ones I watch whenever I come across them:

Singin’ in the Rain - Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor, Debbie Reynolds - great dancing.
Caberet - Joel Grey was great, Liza Minnelli when she was still good
Top Hat or Swingtime - the best of the Fred and Ginger movies
Oklahoma, Carousel, or South Pacific - the best of Rodgers and Hammerstein
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - another great dancing movie
Fiddler on the Roof - I wish it could have been Zero Mostel as Tevye, but Topol was pretty good
Meet Me In St. Louis - to see why Judy Garland was so highly rated
Yankee Doodle Dandy - you just can’t not like Cagney dancing through this one
Gigi - thank heaven for Leslie Caron - I fell in love with her
Music Man - just fun
Oliver - Ron Moody as Fagin- as good as any musical performance
42nd Street or Golddiggers of 1935 - Busby Berkeley’s best choreography
My Fair Lady - classic musical
Sweeney Todd - try to find the Angela Lansbury version, not the one with Johnny Depp.

That should get you thru the week.

Whassamatta - you don’t like movies written by two gay Jews about a Polish and a Puerto Rican gang battle in New York’s West Side?

What could be more American?

I've seen parts of a couple, I've read my fair lady/pygmalion. No way in hell will I be able to watch all of these in a week because I do have other things to do, haha, but I will watch some. This is more over the course of my life. Thank you!

I didn't see your edit. I saw the Depp one. Not good.

To Aushawk, I want to see Rocky Horror just so I can say I saw it, but then probably never watch it again. There are parts of it in a movie called Perks of Being a Wallflower, one of my all-time favorite movies.

nice bounce back by the coyotes..beat the blows 3-1....and now jump over the wild with 75 pts...

this is why its so tough to make up ground when you are chasing 4 teams with less than 15 game left...you have to win and everyone else has to lose

If thats your field of expertise you need to go to the Stratford Festival in the better weather. Othello and King Lear should be as exciting as Stanley Cup playoff action.

What did you expect from that era. It gave us Marlon Brando playing an Asian and any number of white actors playing Indians in the movies.
