Gamecenter was good quality but I am really only interested in watching the Flyers so to charge me $200+ to watch 70% of the Flyers games because others are local or nationally televised makes 0 sense to me. So I stream the games. Id have no problem paying for it if it meant I got every game.
I had spotify because it was a good product at the time. Recently quit because a lot of my songs were taken down, likely for licensing issues. Tried Amazon music and cancelled that within a week. I got Prime because it had the music and I could get the shipping perk but I dont shop online all that often and Amazon music is only a select number of songs and the rest are hidden behind an additional $7.99 a month price tag IF you own prime. Without it, it is $9.99. So I just went with Google play music and have no regrets.

Musicians/songwriters get fractions of a cent per play. A major artist recently figured out they would only get $1500 for a million seller or million plays, I forget. The streaming services are fighting back at ASCAP and court rulings on on artist royalties. For the small guys this is an issue, not getting value.. You cant pay bills/eat/etc on exposure and there are thousands of memes about that many featuring skeletons...
