I agree. I’d like to see Kanko get a chance between Johnny and Lindholm. Switch up Mony’s looks with maybe Tkachuk (another playmaker) and maybe Czarnik or Frolik. Or move Lindholm down with money as well.

Yes completely fing stupid. What they need to do is start resting guys like gio for say a game here and their.and with all the bumps bruises haminic has had this year prob wouldn’t hurt resting him as well. And gio only because of his age. he has logged a lot of hard min this year

Not yet. They’re still trying to finalize a playoff berth not to mention tops in the west. They’ll have lots of time to rest players.

Yw that’d be dumb. But I’d still like to see Janko with the other 2.
What about Mony and Lindholm with Mangi

It felt nice to score some goals. Glad Fleury was not in net.

Last Knight's game showed how other teams are trying to contain Gaudreau by putting 2 players on him. Which means somebody is being left uncovered. A fast player should be able to take advantage of that.
Monahan is not fast but Bennett certainly is. Plus Bennett is fearless. So why not try Bennett between Lindholm and Gaudreau for even a few shifts and see if Bennett's speed can relieve the pressure on Gaudreau.
With Giordano and Anderson on defense that could make a powerful offensive threat and the risk of an odd man rush wouldn't be any worse with Bennett than it is with Monahan. Personally, I think Bennett has earned a chance on the top line.

I like this idea, but Peters keeps putting Brodie back on the top pairing for some reason.

I’d like to see Lindholm center Johnny and Bennett for a game. Seems like it would be a great fit. Not sure where you plug Mony in though, definitely don’t want to split the 3M line after last night.

Elliot Friedman on the Fan960 today agreed that there's something not right about Monahan. He pointed out that it could be a personal (family) issue rather than an injury. If such were the case then BT should take the initiative and tell him to take some time off because I'm sure Monahan would never ask for special treatment.

Why would Bennett be a good fit with Lindholm and Gaudreau? He's currently mired in one of his 3-4 week disappearing acts.

He can grind it out along the boards, can hit and has speed, something Monahan doesn’t do or have. Just a thought if they’re going to shake up the top line without breaking up the 3M line that’s what I’d like to see.

yea with our glut of depth D-men, I would love to see some NBA style "load management"
time to rest Gio a few games, let Stone and even Valimaki get back up to speed

same with Monahan...move Bennett up, dress Quine or Dube back into the line-up

Sure, but you can dress 7 d from time to time, cut some minutes here and there, there are some options that can allow you to do both. And frankly, if we can't win the division minus Gio for a game or two (or playing 15 minutes for a couple of games instead of 25), you'd better hope for a pristine injury card in the playoffs.
