JT has been so consistent all year. He's rarely had an off night.
Matthews has been hot and cold; nothing wrong with this, but if you're our future 1C, you gotta put the work in when you're not scoring. Be dominant in your own zone, make other players better around you.

Matthews is a hot/cold player but he still racks up points......by the end of the year.
These playoffs, he really needs to step up.
Looking forward to seeing what he can do against those bostonfacks. |

It's not doom and gloom. Leafs are a good team for sure. Not close enough though. Splooged too early with the trades imo. It's the "still early" crew all over again.
I'm just saying it's not all the fault of Hunwick, Martin, Polak, Lindholm or any other 4th line forward/3rd pairing dman.
They're still further away than that imo.

At the end of the day you gotta remember Matthews is 21. Even though he looks like a seasoned vet a lot of nights he is still a kid.
Not to mention playing in a media/crazy ass fan base. |

Yeah for sure, that's why I'm not really freaking about this year at all. TBL took a while to become dominant. Hell, they almost didn't make the playoffs a couple years ago with a really good team. |
