So you've got something against players saying what they want in the heat of competition....

Well, who would have guessed that Max was not going to be the dumbest comment in here today...

You’re a (frank)ing loser troll piece of poop idiot that has no idea what he’s talking about.

Well, I was on ice

I agree, if it's indeed hate speech and is collaboration by more then one person, sanctioning should happen. What happened to Rielly was ridiculous. People pilling on, guilty until proven innocent. We had a General Manager putting out statements, before there was even a hearing and not waiting to get the confirmation. It was not needed and a tempest in a teapot. It was a stain on an innocent player, similar to what happened to the Student wearing a MAGA hat that was falsely accused of something that the press deemed offensive. It needs to go away and those that accused Rielly need to apologize. I won't hold my breath.

I don't think that the meaning has changed per se, it's just something that folks use now as an excuse to be able to say whatever poop they want and expect no repercussions.

I really like how XKCD explains it:

The general manager acknowledged the NHL investigation and condemned, in general, the harrassment of the LGBTQ community.

The student in question still harrassed an indigenous American, plus a few women before the main video was taken.

You really should stop trying to internet. You're almost as bad at it as you are at being a person.

Yes an no. If he's suspended without pay, then reimbursed when found innocent, no. IF no reimbursement happens, then he'd likely sue, and that's a different situation. Sounds like he and Dubas got together ASAP last night though to address the situation internally.

I believe Morgan didn't say it last night, fairly obvious

I am also not naive enough to know that the boys don't say it in the comfort of their condos playing video games against each other.

tbh I say it in the dressing rooms,(around my buddies) everyone does. Doesn't mean i or they hate gays.. weird word

So who was insulted at the game from the LGBTQ community? Nobody. So why was the statement needed before anyone had proof of this indiscretion? It was the typical bowing to the alter of political correctness. In other words, he was ready to throw Rielly under the bus if need be.

On the other matter, you are incorrect. It was the Native Social activist who walked across the parking lot to confront some kids that were waiting for a bus after a Pro Life rally at the National Mall, in DC. At least the kid in question is going to bust the balls of the lying leftist media and probably the Native Social activist at the end of this quagmire.

That is well said! Basically, the law says you're allowed to be a bigoted bumhole, but that doesn't mean others can't call you out for being an bumhole or kick you off a private site.

Not everyone. It needs to stop being a part of people's vocabulary. You wouldn't say "Oh man, you're such a (frank)ing N*****" to someone over a video game or jovial disagreement, so it's time to put this word in the same place.

As a straight white guy it doesn't affect me personally, but that of course is not the point - if it offends even some, and it's unnecessary (which it is), then why do some folks insist on using it?

1) anybody who is part of the LGBTQ community who thought that their hockey boy Morgan called someone a F****t was offended. Whether at the game or otherwise. The fact that it was believed to be said rather than greeted with true shock shows that there's still work to be done.

2)

It's amazing how dumb you are on this poop - you throw out as many words as you think mean something like "globalist" and "socialist" but it's clear that your dumbass doesn't know what the (frank) you're talking about.

Log off, old man. Go be poop by yourself in your mothers basement with your Vizio for comfort.

As a janitor you shouldn’t be allowed around the students anyway. Just my opinion.

In typical circumstances I'm with you (/Stephen) on this one. But I always ask myself "Does it hurt me?" - if my concession on something, whether it be somebody's chosen pronoun or whatever, doesn't cause harm to me or others, then why should I object to it?

If, for example, somebody was to say "You must only call me Lord Adolf, master of all the Jews" then all of a sudden it's a problem...

That's my line, anyway.

As in the previous post, my line is just "who does it hurt?".

If nobody, then it's a reasonable accommodation IMO.

I'm good with that.

What a (frank)ed up world this is now where you have to second guess calling someone a boy or girl in fear of their feelings getting hurt.
