Not everyone. It needs to stop being a part of people's vocabulary. You wouldn't say "Oh man, you're such a (frank)ing N*****" to someone over a video game or jovial disagreement, so it's time to put this word in the same place.
As a straight white guy it doesn't affect me personally, but that of course is not the point - if it offends even some, and it's unnecessary (which it is), then why do some folks insist on using it? - lumlums
I've had some friends over the years that were gay and one time I was talking with one at the bar and they were telling me about some crappy situation they had been in and I replied with, "Yeah, that's pretty gay man".
It then immediately occurred to me that he probably wouldn't really appreciate me using that word as a derogatory adjective since it suggest there's something bad about being gay.
It really made me think about how I used certain words like that and how I should change my own speech a bit.
As for using F*g, well that is clearly only used as an insult, unless you're a British smoker lol.
I think in today's society we can go overboard with censorship and wanting to judge others without all the facts, but at the same time it's up to each of us to try and be accepting of others and doing our part to prevent discrimination and using language that is obviously offensive and derogatory to certain groups. We're better than that.
The main problem with things like the Rielly incident is that there are a lot of people that love the chance to leap to judgement over others in order to show the world how wonderful they themselves are. Sometimes they rush to condemn those that don't really deserve it because they don't care about getting all the facts. I think the term is being a white knight? |

I'm good with that.
What a (frank)ed up world this is now where you have to second guess calling someone a boy or girl in fear of their feelings getting hurt. - Cherry--Skoal
Not really.
For one, genetics are not as cut and dry as many would believe.
For another, if your name is Stephen but you ask to be called Steve, what concession am I making? None, right?
So if your birth name is Stephen and you prefer to be called Stephanie, why shouls that be different?
And it's not that people are more sensitive now, or weaker, or any of that BS - it's that they're more willing to speak out about it. And that they have a larger support group if needed. People have always been gay, bisexual, and transgender - however now they just might know somebody else who is too. |

Can't you just use their name?
I mean, are you actually going around calling these people, "boy" or "girl", like, "Hey, I saw you boy! I saw you drop that litter in the hall! Go pick it up!" |

Yeah, it should clearly be "custodian". Nobody gives Janito...I mean, custodians their due respect!

I'm sorry Lums.
If I have to watch what I say in regards to addressing someone as his/her
I might as well off myself right now.
You're either XX or XY
But - I will agree to disagree with you.

Yeah, he really should've hit submit before that last sentence. Well, or just deleted the entire post, but that last line is pretty ironic. - Thecakeisalie

So my little Emoji King, it's OK to accuse someone with no basis and people get butt hurt by a lie, or someone digging to find an indiscretion to blame on an honest hockey player. So Rielly was deemed guilty, until there was absolute truth. It's garbage.
It's also amazing that a so called educated guy can allow this foolishness to suffice, because of your political slant. You certainly do have the same ideological beliefs as the likes of that blithering fool AOC and her antisemitic bridesmaids. Our poor world is in peril if this nonsense ever gains power in the Oval Office. - PrinceLH
I mean, I see words, but this entire post has the substance of a duck fart.
I never once unloaded on Rielly. If, hypothetically, it was proven that he had said what it was suggested, he would be rightly sanctioned, and I would support it. If, as indeed was the case, he was proven to not say it, I would support him. This is the court of opinion however; innocent until proven guilty doesn't work here.
And I do find it funny you bringing up antisemitism when you've been female doging about "globalism" for months - that's just a way that anti-Semites refer to Jewish people with money when it's too obvious to point out their religion
My political slant is simple - don't be a poop person. Sadly it's the right that seem to be condoning all the homophobic, misogynistic and xenophobic poop these days though - so get your own house/basement in order before you venture out... |

That's demonstrably false.
There are people that are XXY, XYY and also XXYY. Much of the time it doesn't manifest itself in any obvious external trait, but it's still there. Look up Klinefelter syndrome, which I believe is the most common type of anomaly in this regard. |

I'll admit, when Trump was trying to be elected, I argued that he might actually have a positive impact on the American economy, even though I figured he'd screw other things up and was clearly a terrible person.
He's even more of a poop show than I expected. |

Oh look, another indoctrinated one. The joke is the drama teacher that poses as a Prime Minister and mutes the females in his cabinet. At least DJT is doing something about the economy and making the U.S. energy independent. At least he cares about his first responders and his rank and file military personal. He actually wants to get America out of the quagmires in Syria and Afghanistan and rebuild his military, but you'd never see that. CNN and their ilk will continue to fill your empty skull with Leftist pablum. Enjoy your evening! - PrinceLH
No, he isn't.
He took over Obama's economy, and trying to revert to coal while ignoring solar an other renewable energy is a fast-track to disaster.
But what should I know, I only research that poop... |

I've wondered if they have done any research or have any medical findings on people with gender dysphoria. Do you know? Is there any chromosomes or some such that we think might cause people to innately feel like they should be the opposite sex? |
