At least we all agree that Dubas is the GM of the year for the Tavares and Nylander deals. And that Babcock is elite. - Zezel

Did Boston peak too soon? - My column
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xvfPIBO4Ng - senstroll
When teams have that crazy win streak they usually struggle when they lose that 1st game.
One thing about the Leafs, they have a great record and no one can say they've peaked too early. I still think this team has another gear in it. |

same here, what happened 5, 10 or 15 games before you start a 7 game series has little to do with the outcome of the series imo

Speaking of pools...I'm in a dynasty league and snagged Hughes when he signed. Problem is that I'm 100% making the finals and don't want him sandbagging my team. Would you roll the dice as he's a nice piece for future teams? |

I don't necessarily believe in peaking, either. I think it's basically that it's all momentum and confidence. Confidence can have guys playing way above their heads, or way below their capabilities. Teams can "peak" more than once, which is to say - play at their best.
Like Babcock has said in his own way - you're never as good as you are when you're at your best, and you're never as bad as they say when things aren't going your way. - I'm sure there' s a few more goods in there, but the point remains.
The Bruins just showed how capable they are when they're at their best. It's up to the Leafs to not let them have that confidence and to quickly take it away when the playoffs start. The Leafs haven't really had swagger in a couple of months. They need to find theirs again, as well. |

If he's never had one before, it might be hard for him to know the symptoms. |

Petan and Holl appear to be the extras this morning. Kapanen injured, Matthews, Nylander and Johnsson will be Toronto’s 2nd line. Brown on the Kadri line, Ennis and Moore are wingers on the Gauthier line.

From everything I've heard and read, he's best left to the AHL this season, and maybe even next. He's doing exceptionally well, but has a lot of development left. It's why we didn't see Dermott for the years of his development and it worked out well.
I'd like Borgman or Rosen to not be injured so we could call them up and not play Marincin. |

It could also be minor and they're being exceedingly cautious:
1) Players Health
2) Extra Caution
3) Fighting For Home Ice
That's how the priorities should be set. |
