All Benning said is he's excited for him to play pro, could easily mean Utica. He's often referred to being in Utica to learning how to be a pro. All I have found is quotes, but there is nothing he says that suggest he's coming straight to Vancouver.

Been told Josh Teves is coming to Vancouver and not Utica. Also 24 year old NCAA free agents can only sign 1 year deals. 21 and under 3 years - 22-23 is 2 years

Teves is on a one-year deal, will join Canucks immediately. Will get new contract in the summer.
