Big win!!! - HawkintheD
Can we terminate keith`s and seabrook`s contracts, they look like two old men that should hang them up. Enough already! |

Seemed like they were really freaking out over Crawford's departure, underlining how fragile their situation really is. Hopefully he is back at 100% for the Habs. - 333inthe3rd
While he made some nice save, Delia was part of the problem. He had a few opportunities to freeze the puck and he just kept kicking rebounds all over the place. |

Agreed. I kept yelling 'Don't you dare allow another rebound!' Obviously nobody heard me. |

That should get Delias GAA up to about 9.000. - RickJ
But his save percentage was over 90 |

They’re the two best D-men on the team, and likely will be for at least another year and a half |

That is why the Hawks are not ready to be a playoff team. They need to grow up. |

WOW
We may have gotten off easy there with the net dislodging. We did not need a penalty shot there.
Huge win. Had me going for a while there. - pdx2ord
Huge huge. Glad we took advantage of the bad Leafs D. |

That's the deal with young teams, unfortunately it's the experienced players making big mistakes at the end of the game, but fortunately they pulled it out and Delia is part of the reason why they won say what you want he made some big saves |

Hawks probably fin a real D man this summer.
hopefully |

Leafs with 30 SOG in the 3rd. There were all over the Hawks and it didn't help that some of the veterans couldn't make a play. That ring around by Keith was weak - I'm not sure if it would have had enough velocity to clear the zone even if the Toronto player hadn't been there. And then Seabrook with his usual fumble-itis clearing attempt.
A really fun game was turned into a sh!tshow in a matter of a few minutes.
But ... 2 points. |

With the success of the Strome/Perlini and Caggiula trades, it may very well be StanBo making those calls this summer.
On a related note, Manning was scratched by the EDM AHL affiliate tonight. |

There is a big difference between professional goaltending and Colin Delia. Especially when the whole team stops skating. Not surprised though. |

Someone here already suggested Saad left the zone too soon on Keith's clear attempt. |

Keith sure, but I’d probably take Murphy over Seabrook right now.

Let's end this myth that every team that makes the playoffs is a flawless well oiled machine, top to bottom. Right now the Wild and the Yotes who the Hawks just beat, hold the wildcard spots. Are the Hawks a contender? That's a different story.
Playoff team? Not as out of the question as you're suggesting. |

On a positive note Perlini looked great again and if he can keep playing like this Stan won't have to spend cap money on a top-6 winger so he use whatever cap space he wants to use this summer on improving the D.

Well shame on Saad then. The Hawks wingers are notoriously bad at receiving ring arounds - either because they're flying the zone or because they're flat footed waiting for the puck to come to them and the opposing player goes around them to intercept the puck.

definitely something a more experienced goaltender has a feel for. Slowing the game down. Which is what he could have done a couple of times. Those rebounds weren't in good spots and the offensive guy has the advantage. They can see it and the d-men has to find it and his man. |

That would be great and if it's the case, gives the Hawks a pretty decent top 9 when Caggiula comes back, regardless of what happens with AA. |

Not sure WTH they were doing. It could have been a set play. If it was, it was pretty stupid and high risk. But Saad was out by the red line. |

A really fun last three minutes if you like hockey - and those last three minutes are part of why we do.
That was incredible - even if the wrong team was applying the pressure. |
