Well they don't ask how just how many at the end of the year ,and that one was a little to wild of a finish . .Breaks really stated turning after that 1st leaf goal on a deflection ,Crow looked like he wanted to get that period over with .Then lose Crow cheap one off Strome cheap penalty on Kane (nice goal ) weak goal on Delia .But even after all that the HAWKS WON !! |

On a positive note Perlini looked great again and if he can keep playing like this Stan won't have to spend cap money on a top-6 winger so he use whatever cap space he wants to use this summer on improving the D. - EbonyRaptor
If Perlini does keep this intensity up - and the line stays together - what a nice young line - three early-22 year olds. |
|
|
|
I am still bothered that Kane and Toews are not playing together. Adding Saad to that line right now would still make the top line deadly. With Perlini emerging the past 6 games, that would give the Hawks two deadly lines. |

A really fun last three minutes if you like hockey - and those last three minutes are part of why we do.
That was incredible - even if the wrong team was applying the pressure. - StLBravesFan
Exciting? YES! But, I don't like to watch poor execution and there were at least a few plays in the last few minutes that would qualify as such.

Sign him for low dollars this summer!! He can be a bargain if this is what we see from Perlini going forward. |

Not sure WTH they were doing. It could have been a set play. If it was, it was pretty stupid and high risk. But Saad was out by the red line. - Elbows15
At the same time Delia has to work on sealing off the near post, way too much space.
I thought he made a nice pass to Dahlstrom but i think 63 was too busy watching the forwards coming at him instead of stopping and playing the puck, that was a bad play by 63 |

While he made some nice save, Delia was part of the problem. He had a few opportunities to freeze the puck and he just kept kicking rebounds all over the place. - Elbows15
Delia was terrible tonight in the way he played and carried himself. Bad body language and almost costed them the game.
If he's the backup next year he needs to be a rock and ready to jump into games like that. |

Think he caught Dahlstrom by surprise on that play. If we are thinking of the same one, Dahlstrom was already under pressure and Delia kind of gave it to him late. Totally looked he was expecting Delia to freeze it. |

This Milbury is just a total hack. He comments that the Leafs need to start taking advantage of Seabrook who has "clearly slowed down ". That may be true as we all know but there's no reason to call him out individually in that situation when Seabrook did not make a mistake that lead to a goal. Just a CLASSLESS dumb comment by an ex Bruin who couldn't skate well himself !! - Hawkytalk
He even had a hard time keeping his shoes on his feet.

They did score 5 goals tonight, including 1 from the Kahun-Anisimov-Kane line and that line had several other pretty good chances. A debate can be had whether it's better to have 2 stacked lines or it's better to have 3 pretty good lines capable of scoring. The answer to that debate could be different for different teams but wins/losses should be the ultimate decider and the Hawks have won 4 in a row with Kane playing with Kahun and Anisimov.

He's not Corey, he's a rookie, you guys are so hard on rookies, and they still won. When it mattered he made save after save even though he looked like a fish

They’re the two best D-men on the team, and likely will be for at least another year and a half - Ogilthorpe2
Not if Bowman and company realize that 19 and 88 have CUP potential for a couple of years yet.
Need to trade for top dman like Chychryn or Manson this summer to be able to move 2 and 7 down in the pecking order.
Lots of good trade bait in AA, Saad, Murphy, Gus, Sikura and the younger high quality up and coming dmen. Again....that is if they really plan on trying for another CUP run.
This summer will tell us what direction they're thinking.

All Hawks fans would love to see him do well enough to be the heir apparent but he has holes in his game that have been and will continue to be exploited unless he improves in those areas. Two areas that need to improves cost 2 goals tonight - not sealing off the post and losing his net.

Someone here already suggested Saad left the zone too soon on Keith's clear attempt. - 333inthe3rd
I think Keith had more time than he realized and he could have made a better play IMO. I haven't watched the replay, so maybe I'll change my mind after seeing it again, but just seemed like he rushed it. |

I would never allow anyone I care about to fly on either of the two airlines involved in the two accidents. And I would have said so beforehand. There’s only about a half dozen non-North American Airlines I would ever set foot on. - Ogilthorpe2

Leafs with 30 SOG in the 3rd. There were all over the Hawks and it didn't help that some of the veterans couldn't make a play. That ring around by Keith was weak - I'm not sure if it would have had enough velocity to clear the zone even if the Toronto player hadn't been there. And then Seabrook with his usual fumble-itis clearing attempt.
A really fun game was turned into a sh!tshow in a matter of a few minutes.
But ... 2 points. - EbonyRaptor
Also - look at the first two periods - Toronto put a lot of pressure on the defense - lots of shots in the house, lots of good scoring chances - but they protected Crawford nicely with blocks (21 thru two periods, IIRC) and clears.
Let’s take that away from this game, too. |

I'm not sure Chychryn or Manson fit the bill. Neither are top pairing guys so I wouldn't spend any cap space on guys that don't meet the need for a legitimate shutdown d-man that can play top minutes against the opposing team's top players.

Twenty (frank)ing six out of twenty nine saves in the 3rd period, this is on team defense not doing there job, but no let's blame the rookie goalie for almost losing. I know if Forsberg was out there we go to OT.
