No. This team should be tanking. They have no good young players and should be getting the highest draft pick possible. - HawkintheD
Watch yourself, Chief, I've got Fife on line one. |

Why are they trading their young d-men prospects? I think the TDL sort of showed us what Bowman is thinking. - Elbows15
My point was that if Bowman and management now realize that 19 and 88 still have Cup potential because of the year they're both having, they might not be willing to wait 2 or 3 years for Beaudin, Mitchell, Joki, and Bovquist to be "ready" for a Cup run.
Yes the TD showed us (by doing nothing) that they are still in the evaluation mode, but it's more and more evident to everybody that a couple of top quality dmen are needed NEXT SEASON.
And I'm not sure that a Chychryn or a Manson couldn't be top 2 dmen if they were given the chance. What possible current top 2 dmen are going to be available anywhere in the league ? I'm guessing none.

Sounds like the flu came upon Corey Crawford suddenly. Colliton didn't know anything about it until the second intermission, when Crawford told head athletic trainer Mike Gapski he couldn't go.
Last thing we need right now is for the flu to go through the room (that is, unless you're someone on the tank train). - pdx2ord
Not to be s pessimist but aren’t nausea and flu-like symptoms post-concussion symptoms. I really hope it is a virus; hope for the best for Crawford.

Hawks are a young team, mostly. They're learning. Played a solid team, got out to a big lead, and held on for a big road win. I bet they'd have had a much better 3rd if Crow had been able to finish. Good sign for the long run, imo. - mohel
Also, need to learn how to put their foot down on the opponents throat when they’ve got them down on the ground. Have to learn how to finish.

That's not usually the problem when the flu comes on suddenly. |

Former Blackhawk alert - Motte just scored 2 goals in 11 seconds for the Canucks. He’s had a solid season in Vancouver in the limited playing time he’s received. |

Was at the game. Heart attack central in the 3rd.
Salute to all the Hawks fans who showed up in droves.
Hopefully Crow's good to go in La Belle Province.
Tomahawk still in with a ghost of a chance. |

Yeah, but sounds like the actual flu is going around the league, including in AZ and Toronto, so maybe this time it is all it is. Like you, I certainly hope so. |

Wow, the Leaf blog is over 1,100 and going strong. They seem ... unhappy.
Heck of a win, it’s still a big hill to climb, they’re probably going to have to get to 88 points. But never say never.
And just caught a replay of the 4th Hawk goal (Saad’s). Four (4) Leafs went to chase Sikura in the corner with the puck, leaving Saad wide open in front of the net. It’s hard to teach defense that bad. |

It’s a variant of man-on-man; the four-men-on-one. It’s really good when played to perfection.

Have to admit what a (frank)ing ending, damn - BetweenTheDots
somehow you knew it end up this way...hawks were complete clownshoes the last 9 minutes..
bad penalty = goal
couldn't make a play
how many failed clears
it looked like the leafs were 7 on 5...they got to every puck
and delia somehow made at least 3-4 bell ringers to put that game away...

Delia was terrible tonight in the way he played and carried himself. Bad body language and almost costed them the game.
