When your in a race for home ice and you lay an egg twice on home ice. Something is definately wrong with the character of a team. Its either coaching or the players not listening and tuning out. Yeah, I think the injuries are a big factor here. They have enough talent to push through and keep a competitive game going but they aren't used to it. Boston gets injuries every year and it doesn't phase them at all because they get injuries every year. The Leafs are so new to being down important players they don't know how to react. Nobody has stepped up.

My only argument the other night was that any response was necessary because of that specific hit on Brown you were going on about.

I don't disagree that some physicality or any sort of response in some situations would be a plus. I disagreed that something was necessary on that single play. So were others and you didn't seem to get that.

Some do. Marleau actually does. I think Tavares does occasionally. Probably our three best young stars are the worst for not doing so, although in Marner's case, the guy probably wouldn't make much of an impact lol.
