He always talks about the Nieuwendyk trade and says that it was a great deal because the Stars got a player who helped them win a cup and the Flames got a franchise player who helped them never win a cup. |

I think a lot of people went even further and considered them a bottom 5 team before the season started. I maintained that I hope they finished with the best record of the teams that miss the playoffs
