watching Lilyg this season, I am pretty confident he wont be in the NHL for at least 1 full season.

Apparently there's a clause there that if they're in the AHL and under 20, it doesn't count as a professional season as far as the expansion draft is concerned.

This means if Lilybust and Sandin don't play in the NHL this year, they'll be exempt from the next expansion draft, cause they will at most have 2 years of professional experience by then.

Leafs only down by 2 now. Keep it up guys, maybe they can still come back...
