It's pretty hilarious the timing Ek picked for such a story.

I mean, almost all of us aren't really comfortable with Sparks as the backup. There were games he's played where Ek making this article would make some sense, as Sparks poop the bed royally, but instead he writes it after Sparks does some of his best play to date.
