Someone mentioned it in an earlier post about defenseman like Jakob Chycrun,if the Hawks draft somewhere between 11 and 16, would you dangle that first pic out of the coyotes for that kid? And would that be enough? - wonthecup10
I don't believe the Arizona GM has any incentive to move a young component of his prized mobile offensive blueline. Picks #11 and follows is not going to produce as good a prospect ceiling as Chycrun is himself.. And this assumes it must be a forward in play otherwise why trade an experienced dman albeit still quite young only to bring in a younger dman. You wait to have the newbie ripen. Not happening.
Btw Chycrun has been injury prone and was a minus player against us just.recently.
I also suggest that Stan might try to bid for a free agent as long as the money is not crazy. He may want to see how good this defense with Gus improving (?) And jokiharju emerging. It is also worth considering if they determine after trading camp next Sept that another one or two kids is close to NHL ready.........ho we and whom do you want them paired with.
Is there a team with a veteran whom could be moved if said team either signs someone or has a hot rookie come along. What about Miller from Vegas bring a cap casualty......innotjervwirds open forctrsding him.
We all appear perturbed with no veteran dman coming aboard Stan may be willing to be patient and wait for a
Goof fit |

I hope they don't sign Karlsson in the summer.
I was freaking out when they tried to sign Parise and Suter |

It would be insane if they sign anyone to a big money contract. If they did sign such a player, surely others moved.
They need to take care other of their own first |

Agree with your other statement too and don’t think the Hawks should be trading away first round picks whether it’s middle of the pack this year or closer to the top. |

Unless Strome takes 5 over 4 or something like that this summer he'll be expensive if he keeps racking up points. - fattybeef
It’d be smart to try to get him signed to something like that after July 1st. |

I would investigate what takes and if worth it to move up to exactly what spot....have demurr to wiz but guess only #5. - #8. You need a power forward type and if someone plays that style is still there after you move up .....well when in another draft do you have power forward so good to be taken that early....it is a team need. |

I wonder if Edmonton would be willing to part with Larsson? At least to rid themselves of the Hall/Larsson trade trauma.
Larsson could be a good pickup, maybe Vatanen from N.J. - DarthKane

It’s great to see Perlini starting putting things together like this. I’d expect a short term deal this summer, 1-2 years. - DarthKane

Yes. Or Leon the Professional. Some call it by either one. |

Toews is battling Weber, and fighting well. Saad is looking good. I'm liking Murphy and Forsling's game a lot. Kane is getting double teamed and snuffed out of every play.
Crow tested a lot, especially during that pk. Seabs with a lot of blocks. |

On the PK - yes.
5x5 - only 9 SA, only 8 SCA - not many 2nd chances that I recall.
Hawks playing a nice defensive road game. |

A couple 2nd chances, not a lot. I just get worried when there are blue paint battles, but Crow stands tall. Something about these first periods of late where the hawks look really good. Nice change of pace. |

Why did they call the trip when Gallegher stopped skating before contact eas made? Ar worst he should have been valled for embellishment also. The refs need to call embellishment so these players will stay on their skates. |

pretty decent 1st..habs came to play; very good defensively and aggressive with hits...
hawks answered the bell as well and as we know that has been a probelm most of the year but much better in the last 10-15 games |

Sikura robbed point blank, then rings one of the pipe and Tazer gives him the encouraging hug. Love it. |
