Anyone else notice how (frank)ing good Danault is defensively? - Elbows15
Don't get me started on the Danault fire sale...if Bowman gets a 4D instead of hot garbage in that trade who knows about that spring 16 team?
Meanwhile Crawford stellar tonight. And who spiked Perlini's water?
Still a long shot to make the playoffs, but who knows...Crawford was on tonight and looked like his old self and he always plays well in his hometown. |

I can't see them making the playoffs, but I love the way they've been playing since mid December. Before that, it had been a year and a half of playing 20 to 40 minutes a night.
My hope for this team is to just miss the playoffs, and then win the lottery to get a top 3 pick (like Carolina last year). |

Next year forwards:
Toews
Kane
ADB
Strome
Saad
Perlini
Caggiula
Kahun
Kampf
AA?
Hayden?
Sikura?
The first 8 make up most of the top 9. AA will probably be traded after we pay his bonus on 7/1. Hayden and Sikura show promise at times, but are they really part of the future? We can't go into next season with the same forward group, so who stays, who goes, and who do we go after this summer?
I say trade AA and Hayden, but keep Sikura. Sikura has skill, and can develop into a top 9 player. That would probably bump Caggiula to the fourth line with Kampf. We would need a 3C, and two more 4th line forwards.
I would target Dzingle or Nelson for 3C, but the 3rd and 4th forwards for the fourth line may be Johnson and Highmore.

In a much easier division. - powerenforcer
Cannot control the division you are playing in! Arizona has been an incredible story, hate to see them crapped on just because the Hawks are playing better the 2nd half of the season. Nice to see, but if the Hawks don’t crap the bed with two different huge losing streaks, then they would be a playoff team. I love the Hawks more than anything, but I also try to be as realistic as possible when I examine the NHL as well. Yes, the Yores are in an easier division, but they also have been terribly hurt all year and are still in the hunt which is remarkable for a team that doesn’t have much to begin with!! |

Hoping the Hawks add something in terms of forward depth. Hayden doesn’t do much for me at this stage and I do agree Anisimov will be dealt this summer. Would love to see Brock Nelson don the Indian head. |

When are We finished with that Sikura project ? I know that he have played better lately with Toews and Saad. But, how many games do he have now ? I just think it would be nice to see someone other got a shot. |

It would take a package I qould think depending on the Dman.
Saad, Anisimov, Kahun - I coild see at forward
Gustafsson, Murphy - of significance on the backend
... then the most appeing piece would be one of the Hawks top defensive prospects in Boqvist, Beaudin, Mitchell or maybe Jokiharju. - Justin Lowe
So if hawks trade saad who replaces him? Just another hole to fill, hawks if they want a legit number 3 or 4 d man hawks will either have to put an offer sheet in ala Truboa or give up one of their top d prospects. Maybe AA sikrua or kahun Beaudin and 2nd might do it. One other thing look at teams that will be in cap hell next season and cannot sign say a d man maybe a deal can be had there.

Easy solution - bring up his brother from Rockford, don't tell anybody, give him Dylan's jersey and when he scores everybody will be happy. |

Awesome game last night from Crawford. Vintage. Found a way to win another game. Just keep rolling and see what happens.

Keith has been great lately and most of that has been playing with Gustafsson. |

Not sure but if the Hawks want a top 4 D via trade they are going to have to give to get.

This year's #1 should be in play as well. Hawks most likely will not get Hughes or Kakko, so if the Hawks are around 8-12, it should be made available in a package to get better now. |

He still makes plays. Getting a lot of experience. When Caguilla comes back he will be down in the line up. |

What does the lineup look like once Drake returns? Sikura sent down? Saad Toews Kane as a first line? Kahun AA Drake as a third line? Lines 2 and 4 are kept the same? |

I'm not too sure about lines, but JC seems set in keeping Kane on the 3rd line with spot duty on the 2nd line plus pp time. |

5-0, when Caggiula comes back Saad will probably go back to the 3rd line and we'll see Kane Toews Caggiula line |

It will be interesting to see what happens when Caggiula comes back. Does Colliton go back to the 91-19-88 line? Who comes out of the lineup? The answer should be Kunitz is the one who comes out but 14-64-16 have been playing pretty well. Sikura may end up being the odd man out but he's just now finding his footing so it may set him back to yank him out, especially if he hasn't popped his goal cherry yet.
Although I consider Caggiula one of the 12 forwards who should be in the lineup - I think I'd rather hold off putting him back in there right now.

my goodness i replayed some of this game and his saves: he was quick, efficient, technically superb, square, playing and seeing the puck and not the otherway around.
his recovery and set-up for the next shot was just outstanding...you want a teaching video of goalie "how to do it"...there ya go..
delia or ward in net on a avg or good nite for them and the hawks give up 5 plus again.
the bad news craws stellar play masks another poor team defensive performance other than the pk...habs had glorious high danger chances the whole damn game...
this team maybe the worst defensive team in 30 years to make the playoffs; has a team that has allowed the most or 2nd most goals ever made the playoffs |
