Not sure but if the Hawks want a top 4 D via trade they are going to have to give to get. - Justin Lowe
well i don't see one on the UFA list...none of the dmen there inspire me and the cost would be steep... |

5-0, when Caggiula comes back Saad will probably go back to the 3rd line and we'll see Kane Toews Caggiula line - BetweenTheDots
I hope so, I just don't know when it comes to JC.
5 game win streak, I wish Caggiula was back up playing and a speedy recovery because concussions are scary, but I thought our line-up was going to miss him a lot. |

my goodness i replayed some of this game and his saves: he was quick, efficient, technically superb, square, playing and seeing the puck and not the otherway around.
his recovery and set-up for the next shot was just outstanding...you want a teaching video of goalie "how to do it"...there ya go..
delia or ward in net on a avg or good nite for them and the hawks give up 5 plus again.
the bad news craws stellar play masks another poor team defensive performance other than the pk...habs had glorious high danger chances the whole damn game...
this team maybe the worst defensive team in 30 years to make the playoffs; has a team that has allowed the most or 2nd most goals ever made the playoffs - bogiedoc
He made some great saves last night very true, faced a lot of shots on goal he did, but Gallagher Domi and Tatar their top 3 goal scorers only had a total of 8 shots on goal. |

he was very good all the way around last night...other than than botched 2-0 with perlini - bogiedoc
And that was actually Perlini's fault because he put the return pass in Sikura's skates. Sikura played it well and under normal circumstances Perlini buries it but you know Perlini didn't take the correct play because he tried to get Sikura that first one.

The thing with Caggiula is he's more of a bottom-6 player but his wild hare game complements Toews/Kane so if the idea is to re-unite T&K, then Caggiula is probably the best third wheel for that line. If Colliton would rather spread the offensive firepower by separating T&K then I'd rather see Sikura play with Toews because Sikura has a better all around offensive game.

Awesome game last night from Crawford. Vintage. Found a way to win another game. Just keep rolling and see what happens.
Fun tidbit... Duncan Keith over his last 22 GP: 14 points +17 - Hawks_49

What does the lineup look like once Drake returns? Sikura sent down? Saad Toews Kane as a first line? Kahun AA Drake as a third line? Lines 2 and 4 are kept the same? - SoftServe
I think they still split Toews and Kane and adjust that mid game depending upon score etc.
DRake can shag pucks for Toews and Saad.
Kahun does that for Kane and AA. |

Believe the Hawks need to win 2 more of remaining 11 to improve upon last season.
For perspective. |

Nah but he does have a lot of miles on him. I'm glad that it doesn't look like he's playing defense by himself anymore, have to give credit to Gusto for playing better defense and especially willing to sacrifice his body to block Webers shot, DAMN |

I would have liked Sikura to pass it a little earlier, but he was probably thinking Perlini would shoot. |

Agree ER. Caggiula is kind of an all-line player, he works his ass off. Sikura has been better on the top line with a lot of near misses and great set-up opportunities. |

Yep - he played it perfect for Perlini to shoot but that didn't leave much time/space for Perlini to put the return pass in the optimal spot for Sikura to shoot.

It goes to show how little they know about concussions, day to day injury, it's been 2 weeks now. |

If they keep up their recent play, they should do a lot better than that and maybe even participate in the playoffs.
The Coyotes are the team we need to catch. The Coyotes have played one more game than us, go on the road for next 4 games, have a game scheduled against us, and do not have an easy schedule after they face us. They are definitely catchable and the Avalanche are in our control because we play them twice.
If we get in, there is no one in the West that scares me if we continue this level of play. The East, well, that is a different story but we would have a long way to go before worrying about that. |

That bizarre 2 on nothing is all on Perlini. It was a nice gesture to give the kid a chance for his first goal but the game at that point was still in doubt. With only a 2 goal lead and the home team pressing, you shoot the puck in that instance especially when you are in the better position to score. That was not a smart play. |

Crow has left the building .Wow what a Show by Crow .Statement game ,go right into Price barn on his big night and rub his face in a big fat Shutout !!!!,,Congratulation Mr. Crawford well deserved shutout on the big stage .
Well a big win still steep climb. Was there some line juggling going on there later in the game ,was Kane hurting .??
Sikura and Perlini screwed the pouch with all the best intention ,got like seeing guy's playing for each other . Perlini may here it was only two goal lead ,shoot the puck ,!!
Sikura will score and go on a tear ,has to be the way . - oldduffman
You do realize commas and periods are placed immediately after a word, not in front of the next word? Oh and also if you use a comma, a question mark or exclamation point should never immediately follow. I mean I get words get mispelled or misused (then and than for example) but this is 1st grade level grammar/punctuation. I’d love to read your posts but my head hurts after two sentences!

Even though it was the wrong play I liked Perlini's idea for the pass, after all Sikura was him 3 weeks ago. And in the big picture while the unselfish play by Perlini was the wrong play, it can't happen moving forward, last night it didn't hurt the team but it might another time. |

Even if Perlini's pass was perfect to Sikura, Price was in better position to stop a shot from Sikura than one from Perlini. |

Why are we even talking about a 2-0 or a could have been 3-0 victory? A win is a win, or shutout in both cases. |

True but what if the Canadiens had scored afterwards? Nice idea by Perlini but the wrong play, and hopefully Colliton points it out.

I don't mean to be pissy and short, so please ignore me if I offended the conversation or any individual, but it's a "what if" scenario. To me, I see a shutout victory and move on to Vancouver. Like I said, ignore me if you want. |
