What’s Markstrom worth? A 2nd? Why trade him and gamble on an unproven Demko. Our roster is going to be even younger next year and I’d like them to have competent goaltending - CanuckDon
The devils got what, a 2022 5th round pick for Kinkade? Doubt you get more than that for Markstrom. No point in trading him. |

But Brandon is one of the best bottom 6 players in the league same with Roussel.
Beagle once they move Sutter will be a decent cheaper pick up .
Canucks have got to move Eriksson Tanev Sutter Schaller for sure . One of Hutton or Edler and probably Spooner.
To have that many guys on a roster that need to go shows that Canucks have done a poor job on professional scouting. |

I wish they could just come up with a plan and not say squirrel everytime a reclamation project comes up.
Also move Utica to Vancouver. Pay attention to what is going on. |

Just had a quick look at the personnel page on the Canucks website. There doesn’t seem to be anyone in charge of the pro scouting team. So either they have absolutely no direction and organization, or the decisions are coming from Benning. Either way, that’s trouble. |

Another meaningless season coming to an end. Thank god.
Heading up to the cottage this weekend. 22 degrees predicted on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
All hail summer! - bloatedmosquito
Fell asleep during the 2nd.
Looking forward to watching teams with decent management in the 1st round of the playoffs. Quality hockey every night for 2 weeks. |

I think Benning is good at 2 or three things . I also think he is not good at 4 or 5 things and that's my issue.
I honestly can't get passed the Loui contract and I am not sure who all is involved but that makes me puke every time. |

Looking back at their pro-drafting record, does that surprise you. |

It was also a clear sign that a rebuild was the furthest thing from their minds. |

Missed the game and will not watch anymore Canucks hockey with the willknot Loui in the lineup.

Those first two weeks of the playoffs are great. Such good hockey. |

I think they were hoping to get 4 or 5 more years out of the twins. I am glad they were smart enough to say thanks , but no thanks we are too old. |

This is why I'm so damn interested in Minivan's top 10 list of Benning's greatest achievements. I get the feeling that Minivan won't produce it and will make up some lame excuse why he won't. |

It's been entertaining this year at least. And a number of young players are taking steps forward.
Markstrom, Petey, Horvat, Boeser, Hutton, Stetcher, Gaudette, Motte are all positives. Even Joulevi to a certain extent.
Can't remember when I've had a list of that many players to be happy about. |

I think its likely more than kincaid but definitly not what people would want. An eddlie lack return perhaps a bit more.

True, true. But I've ridiculed oiler fan for talking endlessly about potential with very little in the form of results to show for it. I'm not about to turn into oiler fan because we have some individually skilled players on our team or in our system.
Lets see what the team does with all this potential before we get too excited about the future.

That's an interesting take, perhaps it was media speculation, but I had thought the ball was in Sedins court, who wanted to play only if they thought they could still be difference makers. |
