Funny thing is our fourth line has consistently been showing up for the most part and generated some offensive zone time.
- Roadrunner75

Not afraid to cycle at all.

They're missing Gardiner springing Matthews' line though; those guys like to score on the rush. Gardiner's probably one of the best on our team at hitting those stretch passes... oh wait... (frank) GARDINER HE'S GARBAGE. Is that better?

playing the ottawa lightning tonight?
- Cherry--Skoal

Nah, they only scored once in the first. Leafs will destroy them in the third.

It all requires a lot of energy output: fast outs, no D to D passing, just chip it out as quick as you can or bump pass or swinging center.

Z and Muzzin play a more traditional patient breakout I've noticed since they been paired together; 5 man unit with the 4th line.

- gravyface

Huh, I'll have to watch Z and Muzz more. Hadn't really keyed in on that.

This team refuses to take a hit to make a play, two Leaf players bailed on the puck against one Sens player in their own zone by the blue line, just pathetic.

Muzzin definitely shows he has played in a much slower system his entire career. He'll get used to it

Being soft isn't anything to fret over according to these boards.

great logic

Same here. There are only maybe 3 teams I believe are capable of shutting down the Leafs offense with solid defensive structure and Boston is most definitely one of them.
Good luck coming back from a 5-2 deficit against Boston in the playoffs.

Zaitsev still crumbles under pressure (not as bad as Marincin), but far less so with Muzzin over Gardiner, who plays a nerve-wracking style.

Zaitsev can't make a pass at all, so shorter bumps to Goat who's usually in the right place in the DZ (and couldn't fly the zone if he wanted to ) is better for his game.

More patience too: have a look, D to D, have another look when the forwards come back.

Babcock probably hates it though.

Yeah. We seriously gotta start a lot better. But as long as they win, I can accept it. Even if my heart can't take it.
