So overated.
The players don’t care about home ice. In fact I bet they like how on the road Babs can’t line match. It shows in their road record.
Home ice is just for the fans. - Santo_44

Yeah, don't know about that one. Maybe in Canadian markets where there are as many Leafs fans at the games as not, but at like TD Garden? |

Exactly. Home ice won’t change who wins the series. It’s up to the players on the ice. |

I thought he’s been great.
He had a couple weeks there when he was playing injured and didn’t look himself...he was wrapped around his ribs.
But without him Marincin would be on the 2nd pair right now. - Santo_44
Oh I agree, I wasn't complaining about him at all. I like his game.
I think he's been what the leafs expected him to be. I was just saying that I don't think anyone thought he was going to be a game changer, as in someone that is goi g to lead the dcore in scoring ect. |

Again. It’s just the fans and coaches who thinks it’s a big advantage. It’s really not. |

I hate that he plays with Z. Dubas will be getting him a new partner next season that’s for sure. |

Leafs could still get home ice. They need to sell their souls or do some black magic or (frank)ing learn how to play like a team though. |

I compare him to Marincin. They both can’t make plays if there is even an ounce of pressure.
Z has some skill and skating at least. |

He does seem to have some skill but I just don't know why he can't make a play. Friday he missed a pass to nylander with no pressure and no one between them it was brutal.
Last night he was first to the puck, but he slowed down and let the forward in first. Now sens have control in the leafs zone and they're running around. Just brutal.

They traded for muzzin, so yeah that blows that theory out of the water. - burn
What was needed was a first line RD. Muzzin is a second pairing LD who was available and Leafs jumped at the opportunity. He was brought in to replace Gards if and when he left. Muzzin can't be the excuse every time the true need for that RD topic comes up. It wasn't done so theory IMO is still on the table

They needed help in more than just top rd and they got it. What other rd was available?
Doesn't matter who the leafs got, babs would still play hainsey (who is a ld) as #1rd |

Our goal differential has taken a real beating the past handful of games.
Still in 3rd somehow but goddamn, 23 goals against in 4 games is putrid. |

He got himself space away from the defender and went behind the net. Had at least a few seconds to make a play and had Muzzin to his left waiting for a pass. What does he do? Throws it up ice. |

I'd prefer Leafs play Boston. The Isles against the world is Vegas all over again.

They lost to teams that were a lot higher in the standings.
It wasn’t home ice that made the Bruins win. |

It's kinda sad in a way, our D depth which currently is at its most painful is a product of Marlies injuries more than Leaf injuries. If Borgman and Rosen were both healthy, I'd say they would (should) be the Leafs 3rd pairing right now. Instead, we have Marincin, Oz and Holl playing, "you take it," "no, you take it, "No, I don't want it, you take it."
I don't blame Dubas for not foreseeing our D depth taking that much of a hit. |

Borg and Rosen should be healthy for when it counts.
Dubas did the right thing. The Leafs have good d depth for the bottom pairing when healthy...but you don’t go out and trade for some because of injuries. It’s not worth trading picks to get an extra game on home ice. |
