Wow... you're a bigger idiot than a general flames fan. No one here thinks, nor expects our team to make it to the extra season. And to start the year majority of us didnt think we would go far if we got in. Now flames fans have a good regular season (while stumbling down the stretch) the new breed come along chirping. Bet when I make a comment at a bar you're one of the mouth breathers that honestly feel they are a contender with that combo in goal... but hey... enjoy a round or 2 while chirping. Winning 8th place is a great ribbon to enjoy.

My take on the Flames is this, we are in. We'll play (insert opponent here), a team we SHOULD beat and likely will. From there its a crap shoot. I don't think (this years) team is a SC finalist and thats ok. We have a young core thats signed for a few years. We have a competent GM (as long as he isn't signing FA's) who will solve the goaltending issue and who knows, its the playoffs, anything is possible. Our window JUST opened and I look forward to the future.
You guys have gaping holes in your lineup and not allot in the cupboard, no GM and likely a new coach (again). Hopefully Oil management stops looking at the alumni as a solution and hires a GM that can see past (how many cup wins last century?) to find someone that is able to ignore Katz and build a team around the two superstars you do have.
