I wonder if this was met with laughter from the season ticket holders....at the top for average ticket price and one of the worst teams....this franchise is lost

So there was a season ticket gathering today and Nicholson said a new 3rd jersey is in the works....also admitted there has been no real GM search process prior to this one (this had already been stated in his CBC interview) also he admitted that they rarely used analytics.....such a progressive forward thinking management team but hey we might get new 3rd jerseys

Can someone explain what the (frank) MacT does again? Flames sign U of A star Luke Philip to a 2 year deal....he couldn’t be bothered to get off his couch and take a look? Would have been fairly low risk

They admit to not using analytics before but apparently are now using some. Knowing the Oilers, they're probably using the bare minimum, surface-level Corsi numbers and calling it analytics.

Oh and another thing.....advanced numbers apparently show that Larsson has the best numbers from our blueline against other teams elite players so maybe running him out of town isn’t a good idea

Despite his struggles this year, there should be no movement to dispose of him. I have some fears about his next contract, but those are still 1 year from really needing attention.

If he's referencing numbers Vs Elites, chances are good that Puck IQ would be a source. They do breakdowns of players' performance against different levels of opposition.

I've seen some summaries from the events and they're not all as bad as the ones you seem to have found 😅

But the Oilers don’t use advanced numbers. The ole boys still use the eye test when they’re having a few pops.
