Hawks are finished for the year. What a waste - GlennL
Did you guys expect them to win out?
Yeah - should have won this one - but they came back and picked up a point on the teams they’re chasing.
A not very good outcome - but not a disaster (losing in regulation would have been).
Hawks are not finished. |

For sure, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Somehow have to win possession of that draw......shoot it ahead and let Kane outskate Edler. - TrueGrit
Cmon, you re atched the game. Edler would have held, hooked, interfrred like he did all game. One call changed the entire game. You call Kruger for that interference, you need to call all of them then. What Kruger did happens a dozen times a period. |

Something must be wrong with Kane - I don't think I've seen him bobble and lose control of the puck like he has the last several games. - EbonyRaptor
Hasn't looked like his brilliant self for a while. Maybe all the double shifting earlier this season has caught up with him. Something else? Wonder what his stats are since the trade deadline. |

Hope your right, just frustrated right now. But guess i should not expect them to make much of the playoffs this year. |

Every season as it winds down he cools off. His February performance will not be matched. |

Though he seemed to kick it into gear a bit more once put back with Toews. |

Thanks for that tidbit, Bread. Guy looks gassed. After the season he's had, no small wonder. |

They've had good chemistry together, considering their revolving door of a linemate. Credit to JC for the lineup matching he did, I think that helped as well. DC needs to come back. |

I think he ends up being 1 of the 2 top 4 dmen needed on this team next year. The other one isn't on the roster is my guess. - Justin Lowe
Sick of watching the Pond Hockey Gustafson plays and hope he’s traded for a nice return before next year’s trade deadline. No way do I pony up $5mil + that he’s gunna want on his next contract. |

Double shifting and all the pp time. I'd say he was tired tonight too, but these last 10 games, he will be called upon a lot. |

As will Toews - and Crawford...
...and Gus - 27 minutes tonite on 26 shifts - over a minute per shift. Colliton loaded up on his high minute skaters in the OT.
Wonder while he had Gus in ther3 instead of Keith - three offensive players with only Toews with any defensive skill.

Agreed. Lacking that next level explosiveness that produced 2.5 PPG during his 30 game stretch of dominance. Still put up 2 points tn but you gotta be better defensively there. Just really poor effort in the 16 seconds of 3v3 from all 3 Hawks. Got a point they didn’t deserve and philly is a beatable team but playing desperate hockey too. |

I would have tried to hold on to him. If he's literally asking what you claim, he can go hold his breath, somewhere. Not interested. |

Well that was a tough one ,had a bad feeling bout this game all day . Oh well still picked up point ,get ready for the biggest game of the year , the next one . Crow kept it close . |

His offensive numbers alone will price him out of Chicago. Hope he plays well, Jokiharju emerges next year, and Gustafson fetches a nice package of young players and a 1st rounder at the deadline. |

Great catches there Sage. Has JC ever started Keith for ot? I think he has, but it has felt like a long time since he last did.
The young guys are fading, or maybe just not capitalizing might be the better word. Tonight was the case. Strome, Adb, Kahun was a great line and scored regularly, a pace that wasn't maintainable, but they have gone cold. |

They didn't score tonight but they factored in both goals against Montreal last game - Strome and DeBrincat got assists on Murphy's goal and DeBrincat picked up a second assist on Perlini's goal so I don't think they've gone cold. |

Cat had his looks, couldn’t finish. That’s how it goes when you rely on 3 guys to score most nights... |

I like what Gus brings to the team, yes he needs to improve his defense but he brings an offensive punch on the blue line that the team lacks.
What time of terms would be acceptable in Gus’ next contract to keep him? |

Hate to admit it, but the Nucks deserved their two points. They were in the Hawks' faces all night long. Sometimes you have to tip your cap. It just came at a rotten time for us. Most hockey teams don't quit. The greatest of all sports.
