From James mirtle

William Nylander has produced at a 62-point pace the past two months, about his prior career average. Only Marner, Tavares and Matthews have scored more among Leafs forwards. Needed six weeks to get up to speed but has been fine since. Predictable.

Unacceptable. For that kind of money, he has to be Eric Lindros (pre-concussion)

Babcock is fine, see how they do this spring, still a ways away from talking about a change.

One thing I do wish he would do is take 10 more mins after his morning run to do the press scrum. It's annoying to hear him out of breath all the time...

So this is the 3rd year in a row whefe theyre not performing in either March or April. Would you say its more the players tiring of Babcock, or is it a conditioning issue that causrs them to fall so far behind early in so many games this time of year?

Do you guys see Babcock having to go to Arizona again to try to get AM34 back on board? Its concerning if that becomes a yearly thing. Thoughts?

Last year was so bad he had to bench Matthews in the playoffs. I didnt think it would happen again, so this collapse is surprising

I find it more amusing that you spend this much time following a team you don’t like.

I truly feel bad for you. I’d be pissed at myself if I spent all my time in the Habs thread. (frank) that. I have better things to do.

I member Sabres fans coming in here and wishing us luck in our "neck and neck" race until the end of the season with Buffalo.

5-5 in the last 10. Getting blown out by the worst team in the league. Falling behind in a large number of games. Having to pull your #1 goalkeeper on more than one occasion. But most of all, looking like another first roind ecit being an almost certainty

They can't help but turn the tank on every Jan 1st onwards. No one has told them they can stop that at any point.

2 years ago they shouldn't have made the playoffs and over exceeded expectations. Last year they got to game 7 against the Bruins and cold have won it. This year they're top 5 in the entire league. Matthews is top 5 in goals per game.

I'd say their progression from last to first is about as good as it can get, and has exceeded all of my expectations going into the rebuild. Babcock choosing the Leafs 4 or so years ago is a huge part of that. The fact that they're top 5 in the league and people are talking about how the season isn't going very well show how far the team has come.

It's really been a fun ride since Babcock came in.

Who are you guys playing in the first round?

Surely that rebuild is close to finishing?

Didn't your (frank)ing rebuild start like 5 years before the leafs' did?

Like figure it out?
