So I guess not having a single powerplay opportunity is the key to winning games..let's hope other teams stay disciplined.

well... that basically puts PHI out of the race
and Habs get to live another day

One point back, with nine games to play. I'd say they're right in it. And the Jackets are staying out west for a bit.

Edmonton and Vancouver next for Columbus...shouldn't be a problem for them.

Domi inherited Pacioretty's empty net goals job I see.
- BashCH

He has 25 goals. Believe only two (maybe three?) are ENG and they were both scored within the last month or so. Also, he didn't shoot this one from behind his own net. He busted his ass, knowing Gudas was going to blast him from behind (lol). And the other one had him flying through the air like Bobby Orr. He works for everything.

Edmonton shut them out in Columbus a couple of weeks ago. And Vancouver hasn't been a cakewalk either.

Good to hear. We need him to wake up, smarten up and hustle down the stretch.

He didn't score, or really even come close, and he did make an ill-advised D zone pass towards the end of the game. But all-in-all, he was involved, he was skating and he was creating - even down low.

they caught a break by having their games out west nicely spread out. i would expect them to beat Edmonton because the Oilers are a black hole of pooptiness but Vancouver is not an easy out.

True. But the thing is on the same night, Habs are playing the Islanders while they're playing Edmonton.

And by the way - did the Habs really have to get stuck playing the Isles right after they get destroyed at home by the Bruins? They had 8 shots after two periods.

another way is to take a penalty just at the begining of a PP. Petry did that the other night, brillant move

true but Montreal is the more desperate team and the game is on home ice. i would expect Montreal to find a way to 2 points tomorrow given how Price is playing.

speaking of, 0 PPs last night. this team always seems to be at its best when it doesn't have to deal with a man advantage.

4-0 this year when they don't get a PP

it was clearly stated last night the refs handed the game to MTL by not calling penalties.

They were desperate when I saw them here last week. Except they weren't desperate at all.

Know who I cannot deal with and who has zero business being on the ice? Christian Folin. What is the reason for him? RH shot? So what? He is (frank)ing awful.
