Not just this year. Gonna be YEARS until they're contenders again.

The Hawks picked a bad time to revert back to their powerless play and for the 5v5 offense to dry up. I wouldn't say the Flyers outplayed the Hawks but the Hawks played bad enough to lose on a fluky goal. Crawford was pretty good - Hart was better. Hawks have no wriggle room - if Crawford doesn't outplay the opposing goalie they have a very small probability of winning.

And with Sikura not scoring we can look forward to all the meatheads telling us how he shouldn't be in the lineup ... cuz ... you know, he gots no goals. So there's that to look forward to until the next game.

hawks played ok...certainly enough quality chances; the kid goalie was very good and did not give many second opps.; saad had to great chances and NO...

both team were sloppy defensively and poor puck management...

all of sudden the hawks high octane offensive sputter and pp is back in the gutter with a sterling 1-23...woof woof.

they needed this game BIG TIME...

oh and btw the aves won...i think sat night is their season....

The kid goalie saw every puck and didn’t have to move to get many of them.

I don’t recall a single open net for the Hawks tonite.

And the only breakaway - or even odd-man - was Kampf’s on the PK.
