But the Hartman trade ...
I don't want it to happen, I'm just not going to be surprised if it happens. I remember someone telling me keep my expectations low so the surprise is greater. You said that. I'm taking the core concept, but a negative feeling as a result that won't surprise. - I Am The Breadman
If I'm interpreting you correctly, that's my take on Ejdsell: I'd prefer that the Hawks just let him go but can see Bowman wanting to resign him to see if he can get the most of the Hartman trade.
Ejdsell isn't really showing much besides a great shot that he doesn't exhibit very often. He floats most of the time. Even when he does dent the score sheet, he is inconsequential for pretty much all other parts of the game.
Remember, the Hartman trade also netted Kurashev in addition to Beaudin. Both have great potential so parting ways with Ejdsell is no big loss in my book. Kurashev and Wise are natural centers with middle 6 potential. |

Speaking anecdotally, it seems like the Euro free agent goalies seems to work out better than the forwards, at least they stick in the NHL quicker.
Tanev likely won't be a top UFA target across the league but he fit's the Hawks needs. A solid depth forward who plays well on the PK. The Drake-Kampf-Tanev would be one of the better 4th lines the Hawks have had in while. I'm thinking $2-$2.5 million AAV for Tanev, maybe for 3 years (give or take a year). - DarthKane
"Seems, madam? Nay, it is. I know not seems." Sorry, I don't get to quote Shakespeare as much as I want. If one stands out, why not?
When it comes to FA, I don't want flashy or big splash, I want lineup holes filled smartly and appropriately. That works for me, a kick ass 4th line. |

If he goes, no big loss. I was just making a joke.
I didn't know all that about his game. I appreciate the report, thanks.
I didn't forget about Kurashev. We already got him. Dark horse? I'm excited to see what he brings after the WJC. Wise needs to stay healthy. |

He must play RD since they have long term deals with at least two LD and the Russian Sergasaev is a LD too. Therefore he has value to them as a RD - if he played LD then someone would be available. I bet Tampa really wants badly to keep all its defensemen - jhawk59

Bruins defender.
Funny read. Thanks.
Kampf will just have to settle with "mein." Sad Magic Gus isn't there. |

BTW - Ejdsell scored the lone goal for Rockford in their 2-1 SO win tonight - but, for the season he hasn't done much.

At least with that goal he got into double digits (10 goals in 50 something games).
Rockford goalie stats:
Delia .932, 2.26
Lankinen .911, 2.47
Forsberg .924, 2.50 |

Thanks to you and AEL. I'm looking forward to the "Rock Thoughts." - I Am The Breadman
Random ideas about the Ice Hogs...
Rockford RFAs
FORWARDS
Resign 2 of Johnson, Louis, Nilsson
No to Ejdsell, Watson
DEFENSE
Resign Hillman
GOALIE
Resign Forsberg only if Delia backs up Crawford which would have Forsberg and Lankinen as the Hogs tandem (another scenario is switching Forsberg as NHL backup and Delia as AHL starter)
Rockford UFAs
FORWARDS
Resign at most one if any of Tyler Sikura, Holland, Schroeder, Martinsen especially if prospects like Barratt, Entwistle, Hagel, Reece Johnson, Kubalik, Kurashev, and/or Soderlund come aboard (not sure how this would all impact contract limits)
DEFENSE
No to Campbell, Davidson

Possible lines for 2019-20 Hogs:
Hagel - Kurashev - Kubalik
Barratt - L Johnson - Entwistle
Fortin - Nilsson - Soderlund
Sikura - R Johnson - Knott
Noel
Gilbert - Carlsson
Beaudin - Tuulola
Krys - Hillman
Galvas
Forsberg
Lankinen
Let Boqvist stay another year in London and Mitchell another year at Denver. This also assumes Highmore makes the Hawks as a 4th liner or 13th forward. All of this, though, is just for sh!ts and giggles. Who knows how this would all play out. |

I've never seen an explanation why Kubalik never came over and signed with L.A. I wouldn't be surprised if he signed with the Hawks with an out clause that allows him to go back to Europe if he doesn't make the Hawks team, ala Kahun. |

Agree on Kubalik. He could possibly sign and come over soon. His Swiss team got eliminated from the playoffs yesterday. |

That line up is both gritty and lots of good skaters. If Rockford wants to make a playoff run, sign a.Holland and maybe the team could have two scoring lines. Strong goaltending and a good puck moving defence. |

You already tried and failed to find lightning.in a bottle. Yes sir, Runsblad was too much a non compete player. Well seems like Edjsell could join him back in Sweden. |

Any chance we could get Anthony Cirelli - BetweenTheDots
I would like Stan to take a run at Taylor Raddysh or Boris Kachouck in TB. If we still have cap room going into next season take on Callahan's contract. It expires at the end of next season. Have TB throw in Raddysh and reunited the Erie Otter line of Dcat, Strome, and Raddysh. |

WTF Bettman? This isn't the NBA......oh wait - with some players (I had to take the actual names out so I would not get banned, because some here are not adults) , .....yes, the inmates are running the show. What ever happened to "The name on the front of the uniform is more important than the name on the back"?

Names were bad, that's what made them funny. Jules was good. The rest I'd throw out or were just really generic. |
