Hell yes, they break out the telestrator every game now days, but the systems are so complex now, it's probably too complex for kids to grasp the simple concepts.
I coach kids, I I've stopped telling the kids to watch NHL hockey to watch what players do. It's simply not realistic.
That's why I love the women's game - a slower pace, so the kids can actually watch what is going on, and it's much more applicable to what I want them to do in their game on Sunday morning at Ted Reeve Arena.
You watch a women's Olympic game, and the US and Canadian teams are soooooo technically perfect. Hell, maybe a little too perfect.

When I was young and in house league, the most successful teams I was on were the ones where the coach focused on positioning in the offensive and defensive zone.
