Goat works well with a couple of skill guys. He can win draws, run interference, make the little squirts play 5'3 instead of 5'1 all night long.

I've been won over by the Goat lately. I was disappointed he got hurt. He's turning into a pretty decent 4th liner.

How do we know someone like Marleau didn't already say pretty much the same thing to the whole dressing room earlier?

Maybe Sparks was just the one to repeat it to the media because he was the one being interviewed. If they are all already thinking it, are only certain people allowed to share it with the rest of us? Who cares at that point.

I think you need to earn that respect to talk that way. A veteran or a key piece on the team. You don’t walk into the league as a fringe player and complain about a now 6th seed team in the league.

He’s worked his way up forsure.

1st year he was ok but replaced by Boyle

2nd year he battled with Moore but eventually replaced by Plekanec

3rd year they gave him the opportunity

I don't think we're going to convince each other on this.

We don't know all the facts. If my previous scenario is the case, I don't think it matters. If he's just calling out the team without any of the guys talking about this already, then maybe you've got an argument, although in that case I'd just be glad someone was speaking out, even a fringe NHL goalie.
