That is why I think Gallant should be a Jack Adams finalist. I think Trotz might win it but Gallant definitely should be in the conversation (If I had a vote I'd vote Gallant).

If I'm doing the math right, the magic number is 8:

Any combination of Leaf points earned and Habs points lost totaling 8 means we win the 3rd seed.

One caveat: Toronto currently has 8 more ROWs than Montreal, so there is still a minute chance that the magic number gets pushed to 9, should Montreal win 9 in regulation and Toronto not win any.
