Has he signed yet?

Said he wouldn't until Harvard's season is over. They're going into the playoffs right now I believe.

EDIT: I was incorrect. They're entering the finals.

The guy is 23 and spent the last three years playing in U SPORTS. (Maybe the worst name for any sports league anywhere?) The only notable names who've won the Senator Joseph A. Sullivan Trophy are Randy Gregg and Jim Corsi, yes, that Corsi.

He's got career AHLer written all over him. Good for him, but doesn't really factor into the Flames' future.

Tend to agree, US college signings are fairly rare in terms of NHL success, Canadian University very rare.

If I were him would not sign with Carolina. Too stacked on D. Lots of teams would love to snag him.

Last night during the intermission they talked about him. Said he had a real bad injury which screwed up his Jr career. They said without that injury 100% he would have been drafted. This kid might be the exception to the rule.

Not to mention 5 years ago in his draft year, 5'10, 175lbs centres didn't get a lot of interest. Now, it's about if they can play. He's a decent prospect and it'll be interesting to see how he does.

He did say he wasn't going to sign unless he could go right to the NHL. Which is why they were trying so hard to move Faulk, I believe.

Hard to say though. They'll probably just waive TVR if they have to.

Tell him whatever he wants to hear then if he doesn't make the team, send him down.

Nah just messing with ya. He is a gooder. Was sad when they traded him but pretty sure they would found a way to keep him if they thought he would sign.

Coyotes are the only teams that scare me in the first round. The first round is always wacky and the Flames aren't battle hardened. They've been pretty fragile mentally the last few years and the last thing they need is to be massive favourites and then have the Coyotes steal the first game or two.

I doubt Minnesota or Colorado even have the mojo to make the playoffs.

Flames weakness has always been strong goaltending. Kuemper is inconsistent and the Flames have had the Yotes number the last few years.

Who would you rather have.

Well, I did it Irish style, 🇮🇪🍀🍻🥃🍀I can say that lol. I think I over did it a wee bit more than a wee bit. I turn 39 on the 25th. I just can’t recover like I used to.

When my friends and I were younger, it was always drink till 3am, get up in the morning and go play 18 holes of golf. It was tradition. Now it’s just hangover next day, hair of the dog to skip the hangover, and double hangover on Sunday..

I hate getting old. Ptetty soon I’ll end up like Bingo and Hunkulese..

Flames sign Golden Bears center Luke Philip.

Great signing. Whenever I would watch Kootenay and Sam Reinhart, he stood out. Tons of intangibles and good at faceoffs. Lots of games he played better than Reinhart.

Almost all of our centers in Stockton are on expiring RFA contracts, so he'll have a solid chance at the top 6 next year. Will be interesting to see who gets let go. Bad result this year.

We aren't far apart (age wise)... and I went to the game, casino and "ballet" after the Rangers game and I was hurtin on Saturday... thankfully my kids (and wife) let me sleep till noon, but even then, I was a miserable, hungover stooge for the rest of the weekend.

Is it just me or is it nearly impossible to create an avatar for this site, I kept adjusting the size but it still says can't be uploaded. Is it because I have a macbook, any help would be appreciated!

Coyotes are no more battle ready than the Flames. Playing a stronger team right off the bat has some bad parts as well.
Would rather play the Coyotes than Vegas or Dallas, right now that’s where we’re leaning.

They're guaranteed to have 6 injuries by game 1, so I have to agree. No one beats them when it comes to bad luck.

Coyotes aren't more battle ready, but they'd have zero pressure. I wouldn't mind Vegas in the first round because I think the Flames are better and would be mentally prepared for a tough series.

I still think the Flames are the best team in the West. The only teams I don't think they match up well against would be Dallas and St. Louis, but it doesn't look like Flames would end up facing either in the playoffs since they don't really match up all that well against the other teams in the Central.
