I enjoy most of your post Boss, but the Sabres have 1 and hopefully soon 2 pieces on par with the Bolts.
Kucherov is better than Jack, let alone Sam. Sam can't match Point either.
Eichel is a good match with Stammer as you pointed out. Hopefully, Dahlin rivals Hedman.
And then, you would be very challenged to find suitable matches.
I'm sure I'll hear Montour...but he is a bit better than Sergachev. - IonSabres
Tampa is a powerhouse .
Sabres have a few young pieces in place.
Good comparison between sergachev and montour
Does Tampa have an answer for risto and his -38? |

risto and his -38 - Boss34
We should trade him as soon as possible after the season ends and sign Tyler Myers in the off-season. Just basically replace Ristolainen with Myers - 5y/30m and we essentially get slightly less point production with more defensive responsibility. He would be great for Dahlin, imo. |

Good stuff in this post Fitz.
In a Cap controlled league, creating the best Front Office and Scouting department is a smart and effective way to maximize the opportunity for championships.
Botts has had 2 Drafts, 1 very early in his position...and he has done relatively well. Last years seems to be pretty, pretty good.
I'm not sure how much they overhauled the Scouting Departmdnt, but they seem to have improved under Botts, so far. I know the expanded with more scouts in Europe, but did they improve upon other that were there?...I don't know the answer other than the results so far seem better.
I think Botts is a smart guy with excellent experience for past 7 years or so...that said, having another layer there with outstanding experience would add tremendous value to the off-ice organization.
Pegulla's are obviously smart, why they haven't yet figured it out is beyond sound reasoning. - IonSabres
I would just chalk it up to hubris. "I ran a successful oil drilling business so running a sports franchise will be a cake walk", or something along those lines. They suck. |

Risto for a top 6, for sure.
I like the idea of Myers, too, and have proposed it myself. Not sure about that term and dollar amount, but I'd like him back here.

Sabres definitely need more tall guys that are super soft non winners.
Myers will fit in perfect.
Myers and tage can be traveling partners on the road.
All 13 foot of them. |

Can we realistically sign him for 5/25?
I think he will ask for around 5.5-6 per |

Myers occasionally gets fired up and gets overly physical and takes a penalty (not sure if he still does that).. does that count? |

Tampa is +100. buffalo is -35. Pretty sure Risto is not a minus player on Tampa, or a real NHL team for that matter.

Penalties count if it's out of passion or anger defending a teammate.
Also: clearing the front of the net for goalies to see the puck |

Maybe Risto’s 5th NHL coach will teach him that when he ices the puck, the face off comes back into our end. Don’t think anyone has covered that with him yet |
