Would that be because it's their team? Pete Rose was banned for life for being involved in gambling, as have other people from other sports.
I liked Tocchet also, but I get the Pegula's having reservations about handing the keys to a problem gambler. Tocchet is lucky it's the NHL, they have no concrete rules about anything.

Plenty of tix would’ve been sold no matter who the coach was

I agree about the swede thing, as for Quenneville, i'm not so sure about him as the sabres coach...for some reason I think Vigneault would be a better fit

Unless Botts’ plan is to tank again next year. Then Phil is the perfect choice.

I'd like to see Lindy Ruff back here for next season in some capacity.
