A comment from Tanners blog comment section from his Leaf rag:

James Tanner has got to be Richard Cloutier's pen name....

Or better yet watch him intetionally score on his own net and celebrate like he won the cup. Then skate of the ice and not show up to any practises until his contract runs out.

Now in all other cases I feel like the GMs would pull a Lonnie Smith on him and refuse to sign him. But I think most would be like "yeah that makes sense"

Don’t think potential UFAs didn’t pay attention to what Nicholson says either....like the Oilers don’t need more reasons for guys not to sign

Could you imagine if RC had hidden his raccoon-(frank)ing, KFC... (frank)ing persona behind a false persona of being a hipster-douchebag-opinionated-father.

You know, as radical as it might sound, hiring Gretzky as their GM might just be the final straw for me too. It would all but condemn the team to mediocrity going forward and would speak to a greater problem that's endemic to Oilers culture thanks to our boot-licker of an owner. I might actually take up following Vegas or an Eastern team until I heard news of sweeping managerial changes in the NHL's tundra.

I may not even come back honestly. I've said before but the incompetence this team has been run with has absolutely killed my love for the game. I used to eat, sleep, breathe hockey but this team killed it for me. I literally like Basketball, Baseball and with the emergence of Alphonso Davies, maybe even soccer more than hockey.

I literally had a memory on Facebook yesterday saying when I cheer for the Oilers, they suck, but when I cheer for my playoff team (which I don't have anymore. As long as Boston beats Toronto I could care less) they seem to do good. And someone commented "Oilers suck"

This was seven (frank)ing years ago.

I missed 2006 so all I got was 2017. I really though that was the turning point but incompetence.

It truly (frank)ing sucks.

He’s more than a goal every two game player. He’s insanely good. One of the best already.
- RafiDRW

Exactly. Why a Leafs fan would say that is incredibly stupid. Considering they're usually homers.

Kreider and Fast with a 2nd this year might get me close. Still probably wouldn't make the trade, though.

Kreider is good but I think we need to shoot for younger and cheaper

I find it funny when the Oilers MSM props this guy up as a great POHO.

He's more damaging than Chiarelli. He needs to be fired. Katz needs to sell the team.

I mean I still think he's making a million more than he should be and the contract could very well bite Toronto in the ass (either because he leaves or because it's not team friendly), but AM is (frank)ing elite and will be one of the best players within three years.
- Oilers4Life14

AM is already elite.... he's just injury prone and lacks heart. The fact that Toronto MSM continues to mention him in the same breath as McDavid is hilarious.

The Ultimate way to tell the ownership to Eat poop would be to join the Flames fan base...... .

But that would require me to not violently gag whenever the Flames score a goal. Not a reasonable expectation.

Yeah, but I don't trust that Seattle will get everything right like Vegas has. Even though they proceeded to trade a bunch of their picks, their drafting philosophy has been an excellent match with my own. They even built a legitimate #1 line (Pacioretty- Stastny- Stone) in just one year with players acquired via normal acquisition pathways (non-expansion).

Plus cheering for two guys nicknamed Johnny and Monny (the modern day Ace and Gary) is cringe worthy.
