You're probably right. And as someone said, the team is just soft. 1st period Domi clobbers Cizikas with a clean, but hard, hit, and there's NO RESPONSE. Team needs more grit for this time of the season. It can't be cured between now and the end of the season, obviously, but I would consider playing Johnston just to shake things up. Sit one of the softees.

I’m not debating that but what is Johnston going to do anymore than Komarov, Martin, or Clutterbuck? None of those guys are hitting anything out there. I doubt Johnston changes the climate. We can’t score a goal and our answer is call up Johnston?

You want to make a statement and shake up stuff that’s how you do it. I think we’re at that who gives a (frank) point here. Johnston is the same old message that isn’t working besides him just being terrible at hockey.

They are out of gas. They circled the game at home against the Leafs and shot their load.

Hickey has been consistently the worst player on the back end since he’s come back. He has been pretty much terrible.
