If I'm being honest neither team has been good at the same time as the other in so long it's not much of a rivalry anymore. Even if they were like they are now and played 2 or 3 times the last month and had a chance to hurt each others playoff chances it would be great. When was their last game January? Toronto is a way better rivalry currently as are the pens and caps

The one positive of Carolina's comeback is that, by limiting Montreal to one point, the Isles' magic number of 6 now works against either Columbus or Montreal.
