Moral of the story: only draft infertile Soviets.

I cannot wait for the Sorokin excuse. Runs away from chief.

4th round pick in 2016

There was a report late last week or over the weekend that said his contract with Avto expired and he was planning on signing with the Islanders this summer. Apparently he decided to stay because he's having a kid.

Just watched some video on him. He doesn't mind sticking his nose in around the net, that's for sure. Looked like he had some nifty hands too.

He said infertile. Not ones whose baby batter are so nuked that their sperm can get up and fly away like bats.

It’d sure make for an awkward pre-draft meeting. I wonder if Lou himself would hand them the little cup/porno mag? 🤔

Well not ONLY from Chernobyl, no. But it wouldn’t hurt to send a scout or two to that region.

Would it be so bad to have a player with 1 and a half heads, 3 arms and 6 feet?

Maybe for the scouts. They'd have to watch the game in their suits.

Sounds like an upgrade over Ladd and Leo.

That’d be culturally insensitive.

Lets just send Ladd, Hickey and Leo.

Bahaha, thats so pathetic.
Most leafs v bruins series last 7 games.
You guys gotta move on from your hate, the isles did nothing for JT the whole time he was there.

Oh, and 4 goals for JT last night, now 2nd in the league in scoring

- Fakepartofme

And zero points against the Islanders.
Zero wins against the Islanders.
Let's see if he finally decides to show up on Monday.

Oh look a new troll, who is only here because JT scores 4 last night. Funny, but I didn’t even mention him in my post. We were talking about playofff expectations. After July 1 when everyone gave the cup to Toronto and said the Islanders would be battling for Hughes, I just think it would be funny if the Islanders were still playing and the leafs are golfing. Had nothing to do with my feelings about JT.

Nice to see Bobo Carpenter earn an NHL deal. Solid four-year career at BU. Didn't have amazing numbers, but a good all-around player who has some skill and brings some energy. Even though BU has had a lot of star players in his time there, Carpenter was always noticeable in games

I wouldn't get your hopes up that he's going to be an offensive dynamo. Chances are he's just depth for Bridgeport. If he makes it at the NHL level it'll be in a PK/bottom-6 role. He's not going to be a scorer at this level.

It's a good signing though. College UFA's are literally free assets for your organization, I don't know why the Islanders never tried to utilize this before. Ok, well I do know. But I still don't understand.

More bottom 6 players.

If this help avoid anymore Leo type signings in the future I'm happy.

From what little video I saw of him, he's not exactly the fleetest of foot. Nor does it appear he has the softest of touch. I would agree with you that he's just a depth signing. Unless he somehow busts his ass and improves his game tremendously, of course.
Not sure how you don't understand it. Pretty easy for me to understand how. I don't think he had a clue that was an option. Probably thought he had to give up one of his prize picks, like Reinhart or Strome to do it.

I think it's more to shore up Bridge than anything else. Bottom 6? Probably. But you have to have kids in the A due to the rules involving vets.
