I think most fans still think highly of him. He was 1st team All Big-Ten. nominated as a finalist for the Hobey Baker. Didn't make the final cut. Prospects tend to become flavor of the months for us fans. So a barge of salt is always to be taken in that respect.

I watched most of the WJC and there was a point where he was dinged in the leg area. I noticed his play seemed different afterwards. Part of me wonders if he was playing through something for a bit afterwards.

He still has had a real good year, I think he's a keeper.

cleaning up past mistakes, like others I believe this summer
is make or break.

As others have described, Barratt has been fine despite an injury and suspension. While I wouldn't mind if he left Penn State soon to start his pro career, I wouldn't mind either if he stayed in college another year. Even if he did leave the NCAA, like Entwistle, he should play 1-2 years in the AHL first.

Are there any prospects in the system who can be like Saad and Shaw who spent little to no time in the minors? Sure, but for long-term growth of the prospects and the team, it's best they develop at an appropriate pace.

But if a prospect is lights out in camp and is not a liability on defense, then by all means try to find a way to get him a spot on the roster.

With Entwhistle his game begins with D, so yes there is a good chance
he has a breakout camp, at worst a 9 game trial and then the Rock

Who gives a poop about McD? People thinking Rocky is gonna get rid of him are delusional. I guess they forget there was talk of the Hawks re-locating during the Dark Dy because the fans were so alienated by Dollar Bill.

Since his timely death, the value of the Hawks have risen to close to a billion dollars. Of course, the success on the ice is a huge part of that, but McD and Rocky getting the Hawks involved in everything with the NHL isn't hurting.

Bolts haven’t won anything. Pretty much the same team from last year if I’m not mistaken. Stamkos as their captain and leader is meh in my book. Not sure he does the little things needed to win. I’d take the Kopitars, Begerons and Toews of the world before him if I’m building a cup contender.

Took Ovi a long time to learn that though. Maybe this is the year for Tampa finally.

Well Minny lost ,good news . Did anyone see Dubnyk move I was flipping channels and caught the tail end .Guess Dube net became knock off and the play went up ice with no whistle ,Dube left the net for a extra player knowing that goal would not count as the net was off .Then he screwed up and try to go back in and Minny got called for to many men , sounded pretty strange .
