YEAH!

Well, except Sikura was probably their best forward tonight.

He's great with Arty and Saad. That line was the most effective the whole game.

I would be happy with Turcotte, Boldy or Zegras.

Ah. Only ever seen him wear 6.

And what did you do with Kahun? OR AA. Personally, I like Kane and Toews on different lines.

- Elbows15

I don't know ... they're around somewhere.

Turcotte

You have to watch some videos of Boldy. He has the classic NHL body type. 5'11' and around 185-190. VG skater and likes to play on both ends of the ice.

He makes a lot of simple, smart plays. He is a puck hound. He never quits on the backcheck. I like guys like that.

With EDM's win tonight, the Hawks are now in the 9th hole. Yeah baby! Tank City! Woot woot ... what day it is.

I'd rather get a center and Turcotte is being compared to (hushed tones) Toews.

Besides ... I'm folicly challenged so "Boldy" is too close to "baldy" for my liking.

Agree with all that. My only knock on him is he looks for passing too frequently. He's good at setting-up guys, but not every time. He's young and will learn to be selfish at times.

Me too. But if Turcotte is gone, Boldy is the guy I want. He has a little Hossa in him.

When Hawks missed the playoff last year Bowman and mcdonough went hard out in the media and said that big changes would come and the next season (2018-2019) they will be in the playoff. But the only moves they did to make the team better was to get Manning, Ward and Kunitz. What am i missing here. I know the salarycap and bla, bla bla. But come on. It must be able to do a better job.

He has always been more of a playmaker. He isn't shy about shooting, tho. His first instinct to pass. Plus, you're a rookie and playing with Kane and Toews, I think its natural to defer to those guys.

He isn't alone of late. The whole damn team has been trying to force the puck to Kane.

Did you even watch the game? If Sikura looked like an AHL player tonight and the past few games - then what about the other Hawks - ECHL players? Sikura was one of the best 2 or 3 Hawks on the ice tonight.

This Sikura blind hatred is mind boggling.

- EbonyRaptor

How many goals does this kid have this year? Not even 1! Ya remember if you are old enough back in the early 80s when the Hawks drafted a kid named Ken Yaramchuk? All god dam speed and no finish, same with fricken Kahun, those 2 aren't top 6 material. I'm not one guy that's gonna give Stan Bowman a M F'n pass just because of. 1 maybe 2 decent trades and a little run this year.
He's gonna F N get up there again and talk the same bull sh it as he did as last years end of season presser and out comes the Kool Aid. Fans should be pissed.
He blatantly ignores what has been lacking for awhile now, players that want to pay the price in the trenches. Q said it, Colliton has eluded to it , the post game show guys have said it, and Jammer , Sharp and Burrish have the pedigree to back up what they say.
The defense is soft as crap , opposing forwards can lurk in front of Crawford all day.
Colliton says it with out saying it, he's had D men turn away or wave their sticks instead of actually taking a hit to make a play.
The team as constructed is a great team.....in a no check elite summer league for pros like they had here last summer.
You fricken right I'm pissed as others should be too! Enough defending Fricken Bowman, he should be on notice now, not next summer!

Except on the pp for the new and expected Adb shanked one-timer. Yeah, everyone wants Kane to score again and teams know to knock Kane down. There's no one near him in a hawks sweater, so the puck ends up back in our zone.

There were 2 things that hamstrung Stan last summer to the point where it hurt his ability to make moves - (1) he didn't know if Crawford would return, let alone return to the level the Hawks need to be a contender, and (2) he didn't offload Hossa's contract until after the first wave of the best free agents were signed by other teams.

In other words the best potential free agents were already gone by the time Arizona agreed to the Hossa trade. Then he decided the best plan was to wait and see if Crawford came back and the team was playing well enough to use the cap space to improve the team in the first half or at the TDL. Seemed like a pretty sound plan to me given the circumstances.

Well we know what happened - the Hawks dug themselves into a deep hole and at that point there was no point and trying for a fast fix so he did the next best thing which was to make some astute in-season trades that for the most part have been pretty good.

Regardless what the pronouncements from McD and Stan were, I think Stan has done a pretty good job this season. Unfortunately for Stan, his job is a "what have you done for me lately" job so we'll continue to judge him going forward by the moves he makes this summer.

Well like that's your opinion man, and you're entitled to it. Fellow Hawks fans can disagree on stuff and that's OK. We all want the same thing which is to see Tazer tear the Cup away from Butthead and raise it up once more.

Agree with you 100%,
Iโ€™m sorry , Iโ€™m just 1 that is skeptical about trusting Bowman any further with this summers potentially high pick and a good surplus of cash in cap space to make the right choices.
Boqvist and Jokiharju may be good players but how many years down the road ? Colliton , already may have his doubts about Joki.
What goes for next year, Bowman have the stones to poach one of these other teams who are in cap hell and make a bold play for a guy like Trouba or Hedmann for example? For starters?
How about behind the bench? You agree going into to next year, one of those guys should have prior NHL head coaching experience ? Brook bank should still be in Rockford learning some more, not up here drawing up an offensive scheme in a must win game with 30 seconds to go, and Granato ? He should be back doing what he used to do before his name got him this job, that is a player coach in a beer league with us ankle benders.
Stan is up to bat big time this summer!
