Yeah I don’t want to see CBJ make the playoffs either, it would be way funnier to see them lose all their guys for nothing. I’d rather see a Pens/TB series anyways. Those games are always entertaining.

the broadcast also said that Jack Johnson provides steady defense so I'd take everything the broadcast says with a grain of salt.

I don't think he skates harder or anything I just think you're seeing alot more of him when he's with Geno, as opposed to when he's on 4th line.

I actually was quite positive on him after last year. Admittedly I was never like OMG about him, but I thought he could be a solid bottom-six player.

When this season started? His skating stuck out to me like crazy. It looked like he was skating and mud and his shot couldn't break wind. I noticed it more than a couple of games. Then, he gets slotted up with Geno and it was Jeckyl & Hyde. He looked like a completely different player. He skated hard, had much more hustle and actually shot the puck well.

Next, he's back down on the 4th line and back to old ZAR. You don't skate slower because of linemates, you don't put in less effort because of linemates and your shot ability doesn't get affected by linemates.

He really doesn't seem the personality type to me, but it's almost like when he plays the fourth line he's just trying to be a body until he gets back up with Geno then comes to life.

It's funny, I think I hate CBJ more than the Flyers over the past few years, but it's really only because of Torts. If Torts wasn't part of CBJ I really wouldn't give too much of a poop.

Dubinsky and funny enough Johnson made me start hating them before the Torts Era started. Prout was also always a mother(frank)er.

The Flyers have been pretty immaterial to me over the last couple years. They’re just a pretty vanilla team at this point and don’t really have a ton of hateable guys like they used to. I don’t even hate Gudas all that much.

Hartnell moving from Philly to CBJ helped me move my hate as well. They could be heading back towards irrelevance though and if Torts gets fired I probably won't really care about them next year.
