That little fucjer us going to lick someone...

I doubt it.

Parros was pretty god damn clear about it, he does it again he's gonna get punished hard.

Best case scenario: Parros gets to suspend AND punch him

A leopard cannot change its spots.

Nice penalty last night in the waning moments of the game - complete selfishness.

- Atomic Wedgie

Dumb penalties when it comes to timing aren't the same as cheapshots. Stupid yeah, but not dirty.

Gotcha - I also like ending a week early in case teams start sitting players or something. Do you ever run into that being an issue?
- RickJames77

This is a first for me so I don't know if it an issue

Ya. South America has really overrun them in terms of affordable and tasty. I find their upper level stuff too expensive and mediocre. Kind of like Californian wines these days. Too much money for the decent stuff when you can get Spanish or Argentinian/Chilean for way cheaper.

Kadri has a history though.

It wasn't lenient, i'll give you that, but I don't think it was too severe either.

If anything, I hope we see more meaningful suspensions for dirty hits like these.

- Scabeh

Don't think he was a repeat offender at the time, iirc. I'm fairly sure he wasn't which is why I was so pissed at the time. Otherwise, how does "history" factor in considering a Marchand or Wilson are still in the damn league then?

I don't think he's a cheapshot artist.

I think he's an idiot who takes selfish penalties.

He got away with licking a couple of guys, but if the refs had made the right call, it's a five minute gross misconduct, which would have been about the stupidest, dumbest penalty in the history of the NHL playoffs.

He constantly puts himself ahead of his team.

My wild guess is that behind closed doors, he's not popular with his teammates.

Guys like that never are.

Pretty sure Kadri was a repeat offender already at the time. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure about it.

And I won't argue with you about the bolded. Even if Wilson got hit pretty hard by suspensions lately, which is good.

For what it's worth, I think Parros is the best player safety manager we've seen in the NHL. Maybe tied with Shanahan.

Fully disagree.

Tell that to his new teamate Johansson who got elbowed in the goddamn face last year.

Best thing about guys that play that way. I can't wait for the Caps to get somebody that Wilson has dinged up...which is going to be half the league in a few years.

OK, let me put it another way:

It's not his cheapshots that would piss me off the most if I was a teammate.

It's his selfishness.

He's definitely flirted with the bold and many would argue the opposite.

I agree his temper causes him to take stupid selfish penalties, but I also think the frequency of those has declined significantly. I have no idea about the locker room so I won't even speculate, but him and Marchand (on the outside at least) appear to have a very close relationship, but who really knows.

I like his game a lot more this year than in previous years is all I'm saying.

Meh.

Tucker and Peca became BFFs.

Although, once again, I will point out that the hit was legal.

At least at the time.

Years ago, we had a guy on our team who was arguably our best player. Off the ice, nice, quiet guy - he was a franking accountant, for frank's sakes.

On the ice, there was a switch. He turned into an absolute psycho if anybody got near him. We could all see it coming - he would get bumped, and 5 of us on the bench would try to pull him off the ice as quick as possible - which never worked. You could see the short fuse burning, burning, burning, and then kabloooom! - he'd take a stupid, stupid penalty. Run a guy, cross-check a guy, whatever.

And then after the game he would go on a tirade about how the refs sucked, they are always picking on him, blah blah blah. Every franking time. Completely oblivious to how he was hurting our team. Completely. Franking. Oblivious.

I left the team, and a few years later, he got thrown out of the league for cross-checking a guy in the head and breaking his orbital bone. In a franking Tuesday night men's league - wtf?

Did I mention he was a Habs fan?

P.S. I'm guessing half of the guys reading this have played with a guy exactly like him, and you are nodding your heads in agreement.
