Leafs are far better off than most other teams. Good practice to have, too many good players.
Lightning have major cap issues, the peg... - bixll
We'll see, the truth will be over the next couple years....we have guys scoring lots now and will want to be paid.
Hyman with 20 and none on the PP I don't think.

I'm banking on the top end being so good that they have to pay the bottom guys so little that I might finally get my shot to be on the Leafs! |

I'd be more nervous if I was Winnipeg. Tampa can try and package some pieces to move out a contract or two like Ryan Callahan's or a veteran dman making to much. That Cernak has been playing great for them IMO. - RickJames77
So could the jets.
They have plenty of depth and prospects imo. |

Do the Jets have as bad of a contract as Callahan's though that they'd want to move on from? Honest question - idk
Tampa definitely doesn't want Callahan's |

Its ok to lose talented players yearly due to cap and continually having a quality talent pipeline if you are winning cups.
But if you are not winning cups and that occurs.
Poopy.
We'll have answers this summer. |

I know, he does his part. He won't get paid like them but he'll be looking for a raise. He's done a lot of the dirty work over the last couple years....the guys he does the dirty work for getting paid while he works for close to min wage.

Alright, time to start thinking about playoffs.
How can we beat the Bruins in 6?
We need Ander2en to show up, instead of Ander5en.
We need to find an answer to their top line.
We need to score the first goal, not play from behind.
We need to play to our strength, score more goals than the other team. We are not built to win 1-0 games.
Thoughts? |

Also, this is the time of year where everyone picks the top 2 seeds in each conference to play in the conference finals, which never happens.
16 good teams have a shot, the talent gap between each team is just not that big. We all know the weird bounce triple overtime winner, or the goalie putting up a 48 save shutout, will determine who advances. |
