It's just a stupid thing from the movie elf
"Because he never learned how to swear, and quite honestly, as an insult it works perfectly. Cottonheaded implies woolly thinking or stupidity, and as someone from northern England, a 'ninny' would be someone well meaning if a little daft, whereas 'muggins' is a colloquial term for oneself, used when referring to yourself in the third person (usually for comic effect)" - RickJames77

Alright, time to start thinking about playoffs.
How can we beat the Bruins in 6?
We need Ander2en to show up, instead of Ander5en.
We need to find an answer to their top line.
We need to score the first goal, not play from behind.
We need to play to our strength, score more goals than the other team. We are not built to win 1-0 games.
Thoughts? - BestRapperAlive
We need Gardiner and Dermott healthy.
Without this, forget about the 2nd round. |

I think he's getting the right level of recognition as a contender. It's not his fault that Gio has 6 shorthanded points. |

I really dont believe they have a bad contract.
Id have to look into that. - Fakepartofme
I'm guessing Little's contract is as close as it gets? |

That and it's probably Giordano's last chance at a Norris. |

I just hope 4th forward Brent Burns doesn't win. Rielly...Gio...Hedman...(frank) it, just not that bearded manbunned female genitalia. |

I remember when Doughty won it.
Almost looked like "well he's very good and he didn't win one yet.... I'LL VOTE FOR HIM!"

Did you see his comments on burns yesterday?
I’ll see if I can dig them up.
Edit; All you’ve got to do is watch one San Jose Sharks game and you’ll see Brent Burns get beat three times a game – literally – and everyone has him up for the Norris. I just don’t get it.

Nope. Didn't see anything. |

If only his defensive game got the recognition it deserves. |

Makes you wonder what he really thinks of Karlsson's play, then. 'Cause as not good as Burns is defensively, Karlsson is many times worse. |

I agree.
This is only Rielly's first season doing it, though. I hope it continues through the years. |

Wasn't it the season Erik Karlsson got 82 (frank)ing points? - Scabeh
Maybe? Not sure. Which is pretty fantastic.
But either way, he can't play defense to save his life. I'm 100% in favour of having 2 awards for defensemen. One just for points and the other for l around game. |

I'm not against the idea.
I agree that defensive play seems to not be considered enough..... but I do remember thinking that the year Doughty won it, it looked like a vote "just to give him one" after being a finalist every year. |

Let's not forget that non-stat awards are in-part decided by wienerheads like Steve Simmons. |
